He purchased property in 90s and just sat on it for years..when he retired he went down designed his home and had it built..its pretty huge. 5 bedrooms 3 baths, right on beach..jungle in backyard so to speak. He has a little boat.
He loves it.
Thinks he is Hemingway living in Cuba.

The property went up in value compared to when he purchased it because a lot of ex-pats and tourism past 5 to 10 years. Its still rustically beautiful..but fancy Spas and Bed and Breakfasts have sprouted up.

He was never a surfer he was an addicted tennis player for like 40 years...played hours a day even after work would go play until 10 at night.
Finally had to stop not enough cortisone shots to help his shoulder from wear and tear of over playing

The worst I've seen is in Cambodia because a lot of men go there for younger women (under 16 sometimes).

This is the worst case scenario though - I have also met many westerns who have settled in southeast asia, and who have fallen in love with and married Asian women and have started families together.

My concern is that you wouldn't really know if they married you for love or for security and for some it will be for love and for some it will be money.

I imagine this happens in the west though - as many men become beta providers and have been sucked into paying for their wives lifestyle.

a man should know when a woman is not really into them...if they don't then they are inexperienced with women OR wanting to kid themselves and don't really care.

If they don't care and its a trade off--then who cares?

I would still prefer (if i were a man) a Western woman who had some education and similar background as the uneven background could become tiresome and boring.

Shallow people who like just the money are not hard to sniff out.

And to be honest? the level needed in USA to get a 'gold digger' is so high I don't think most men have to worry about this.

Attractive gold diggers are not looking for $50 to 70 grand a year beat providers.
