Well yeah, i was only 66kilo when i start working out, man its your fault solely that you are skinny, im an ectomorph myself and gained about 9 kilos in 6 months with the right diet and workout routine.
it makes a difference, not huge but adds a few points, i think its worth it (though if i was nW1 i wouldnt bother working out lol )

if i gained 9 kilos i'd be 65 kilos that's 1 kilo below your original weight. man that's not good. I think our cases differ. You were a normal skinny guy but me im freakishly thin. Just because you were able to gain weight doesn't mean im the same. And even if i did i'd still be scrawny.

If your weight bothers you why don't you try to do something about it? Just start eating like 3000-4000 kcal per day, that should do the trick.

Complaining about being underweight is ridiculous. There are so many options supplements and last but not least steroids(yes they won't kill you, especially since you don't have to take a professional athlete dose) that can help you buff up. But you prefer to not do anything and complain... Your choice.

Bale was about 121 on the mechinist and gained over 70 pounds, everything is possible if you set your mind.
and ofc get a proper diet, you should ask dietitian and start working out. this is where hair loss sucks, you cant "work out" to get your hair back :)

I don't see how that example apply's to me. You see Bale had to starve himself for that role which is different from being naturally underweight.

I've been thinking about seeing a doctor and having some tests done. Maybe there's an undiagnosed condition that causes my low weight.

Do Starting Strength and eat 3500-4000 a day. You have no excuses. There is nothing making you "low weight". It's very simple: if you want to get bigger, you lift heavy and eat more.

TBH, if a girl like Twilight, and thinks robert patterson is soooo sexy in Twilight etc, I have no interest in her.

yes, i even read an artical that said that bruce willis's girlfriend (i think she was a playboy playmate), she said in the interview that she "didn't mind" his bald head, the artical went on to say that if that is how she views bruce willis's head how does that fare for the average guy who is not a super star actor nor looks like bruce willis bald.

quite a depressing artical, but it is true and many articals hold baldness VERY negatevly.

Yeah, quite depressing..do you have a link to the article?

Bale went from 121 to 230 and back down to 190 all inside of 6 months. Hardcore training and diet and a truck load of steroids I think!

i dont think he used roids (could be but i doubt it) he has acceptability to top dietitians and trainers, + he didnt got ripped (like in American psycho) just gained some muscle and alot of fat. (almost zero definitions.)

Yes but Bale is an actor he was getting paid big money to concentrate purely on doing just that.
What everyone seems to be missing here is that getting into buff shape and putting on muscle if you're skinny is very hard work especially for people who work long hours. I manage to stay in shape because I have a pretty good home gym and am a single guy with no kids. I can workout/eat/sleep however and whenever I want.
Most of the people I know who are married with kids look like utter 5hit (bodywise) even the young ones, they just dont have the time to do what it takes to stay in good shape.

And most guys on here are in their 20's and dont realise that if their basing the strength of their looks on being buff then its going to get much harder to maintain this into their 30's and 40's.

Also steroid use in is rife in the action movie industry, trust me these guys are doing more than just protein shakes.

^ For me, an hour twice a week has been enough to keep me in shape muscle-wise. I'm not super-buff but I am satisfied with the way my body looks. 2 hrs per week shouldn't be too hard to accomplish even for those with families.

Its a matter of priorities.

I don't think you have to be super-buff to be a baldie. Just keep yourself in shape and you'll look reasonably good.

I seen a guy in the bar on Saturday who looked super-buff - six pack etc, but he had a vest on so you could see his body and he got a lot of attention from the women.
SAF makes a good point. I met a few pals who I've not seen for a year almost. We went out and had a few beers and 5 of them who are all recently married and out of shape e.g young family, wife, working a lot and not bothering with the soccer or exercise like before.
The 3 single guys - were all in shape and reguarly played sports/excerised.
Suppose once you get married, for some people, life has different priorities now.

We were talking about skinny guys trying to build muscle. But wait until you hit your 30's it gets harder.

No roids. He talked about considering it in an interview but decided not to when he learned about the possible side effects.

After he finished the machinist he binged his way back up to 180 in under 2 months but had gained mostly fat which is expected since your body is primed for fat gain when you've been starved. He then got a trainer and gained an additional 40 pounds in roughly 4 months. Re-gaining the muscle mass he lost with some fat. I believe they mad him cut some weight again because he's gotten too big so he probably was ~200 lbs during most of batman begins.

So his case is unique, he had a solid muscular frame before the machinist (see American psycho and Equilibrium) so his ability to bounce back in relatively short amount of time was due to muscle memory via lifting his balls off and overeating.

This.

"Reasonable shape" is the key, and it has health and mental benefits too.
I'm not talking about six packs, vin diesel shape. Just 3 hrs of lifting per week.
Even 2 hrs per week will do a ton of good.

Nobody said life was fair.

And I am in my 30s, and yes, its harder. But if US presidents can find time to exercise, I guess we should be able too.

I can't think of one bald male who is not jacked that pulls off the look  . Life is not fair, get over it. Get some muscles fellas, I heard they got them at the gym.

I know many baldies that "pull of the look" without being "jacked". Scott Ian, Michael Stipe, Kerry King, many finnish celebrities etc.

i think what people mean here when they say pull it off is that they ooze sex appeal on the same level as a decent looking NW1 guy.

fact is the REM guy, slayer guy and joe satriani just look OK bald in broad daylight, which is where bald people live, in daylight, on dates with girls etc, in the daytime etc. they pull off the look OK, these people do not have sex appeal like vin diesel, nor have the sex appeal a decent looking NW1 guy has (which 80% of male population are, decent looking guys with hair)

that is what people are refering here when they say "pull it off".

there is nothing WRONG with bald look, its just like most people just look "ok" at best, if you are bald super hero like vin diesel then it's great, otherwise your nothing compared to attractiveness of a regular looking NW1 guy (which are 80% of guys in bars are as example, regular looking guys with hair)

yes but in DAYLIGHT he looks pretty bad, check his interview on baldness on youtube, when the camera zoomes out during the interview for a few seconds when patrick demonstrates how he walks, at that point you can see the reflection of the light creates a very unattractive effect.

theres lots of pictures of bruce willis and jason stateham looking pretty bad bald, most of them are in daylight with sun on their heads.

even wiki bruce willis and you can see he looks pretty naff bald with headlights.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bruce ... idmore.jpg

i mean, yeah he looks good in hostage, tears of the sun and die hard bald, but most of the time as soon as REAL everyday lighting hits a caucasians mans head it's GAME OVER.

the only person I have seen consistantly pull it off to a sex appeal level is vin diesel.
