NoThat does look like male pattern baldness, you using anything yet or seen a dermatologist?
Temples look slightly pushed back and the center looks thinned. You are not balding in the slightest
See a specialist as to me the temples do show signs of thinning and I can’t say but the mid scalp does show thinning…..
Will a regular dermatologist look at my hair? The dermatologist in my small town isn't known to be the best. As to the thinning you see I can turn my head at any angle and you can see my scalp including the sides of my head if the lighting is bright enough.Temples look slightly pushed back and the center looks thinned.

If you don't trust the local dermatologist you can get a referral from your doctor outside of town. Will a regular dermatologist look at my hair? @Kandykane2004 I agree with @Here For the Lulz - strong lighting coming down on fine straight hair, especially hair that is standing up at an angle, will display scalp. Absolutely normal. I have very similar hair, am much older than you and mine has always been the same. Take a look at other people with similar hair and you'll see it too. You hair looks dense and healthy. It looks 100% normal. When you have straight, fine hair this is to be expected. Unless you got lucky and your density is off the charts, there is always going to be some scalp visibility that wouldn’t be there if you had thicker hair and identical density..
For this reason, it is trickier to spot thinning with this hair composition than it is for any other. Right now, I don’t see anything outside the realm of normalcy here and therefore don't think you are thinning at this point. If you’re worried you can either take identical photos every 3 months and see if there are noticeable changes or go see a dermatologist.
In case you need clarification on the terminology - fine hair/thick hair are terms referring to the diameter of individual hair strands, while density refers to the number of strands found in any given area.
Yes, I would still get a biopsy to determine the outcome, try wetting you hair and taking more pictures with light from the top scalp. Will a regular dermatologist look at my hair? Hair still looks OK. Though, I'm a norwood 3 so anything prior to that is ok.Hey, good evening. I hope some of you will see this and this wasn't for nothing. I just got haircut and noticed that my widows peak at the center of my head is thicker than the rest of my hairline.
P.S. I was wearing a hat before the photo.

Would I be a norwood 2 and how do you think I have left? Should I buzz it for senior year? Thx.Hair still looks OK. Though, I'm a norwood 3 so anything prior to that is ok.
You are 10 months away from 18 and able to have a serious discussion about trying finasteride with your doctor / dermatologist. I don't see why you would buzz it?Would I be a norwood 2 and how do you think I have left? Should I buzz it for senior year? Thx.
I'll think about finasteride. Where do you think my hair will be at 18?You are 10 months away from 18 and able to have a serious discussion about trying finasteride with your doctor / dermatologist. I don't see why you would buzz it?
You aren't even norwood 2. Maybe 1.5.
Time will tell. But given your genetic history it might be best to have a preemptive strike to stop this. I wish I did that at ~28 and saved my hairline but I didn't pay attention to my hair.I'll think about finasteride. Where do you think my hair will be at 18?
I've been keeping track of my hair a little on and off since 8th grade. As you can tell the last photo is from almost a year ago. I'll think about finasteride.Time will tell. Thanks that opinion is a littlw relieving, I purchased a bottle of vitamins from Walmart for my hair (guessing it couldn't hurt any) but haven't taken any yet, but plan to do so.Buy some dollar store supplements, something like a multivitamin including,d3, B vitamins& iron, + some zinc, to tide you over until you are 18. and then spend the next few months researching what options you could take after that. (BTW you dont look like you have particularly started balding from those pics)
Completely normal. Density isn‘t uniform on anyone’s head. That being said, I don’t see any difference between these pics and the original ones that couldn't be accounted for by wearing a hat prior to taking them.Hey, good evening.
