Balding SUCKS. People who say this clearly did not start balding at 17. Imagine how hard it is loosing hair at that age. But no one gives two shits about balding or the struggles I faced when I was the butt of every joke because of it in high school. Some people with odd scalps look DISFIGURED when bald. But no! Let's spend more money on acne research! Or any other cosmetic issue. Literally there has been no new treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia in over 20 years. People are still using the archaic propecia that saves hair but at the cost of libido. No sympathy is given for balding men, we are just told to 'man' up. I guarantee if baldness was more an issue for woman there would have been a cure already. Humans care way more about female cosmetics than males.

So basically, the truth is not to be heard. But apart from that, the level of stupid, ignorance and naiveté on the subject is embarrassing, it's no wonder baldness is disrespected.

Being ugly is unacceptable, as is complaining about it. If you're male, of course.

Not only is complaining about it unacceptable, it will be assumed that all your problems are caused by the complaining and thus are trivial problems.

I don't understand why so many comments were removed. You see this decimation only when racial / sexist issues are brought forth.
It is really bizarre: it looks like people just cannot speak freely about what happens on their scalp... a TABOO :-/

". I've been shaving my head for about 8 years and I... 1) feel like a badass and have more confidence 2) save money on haircuts 3)get more looks/positive vibes from women (I'm married & my wife is more into it)"

lol come on.....

Then again: what wife would say to her husband in his face "I don't like you bald. Can you grow back hair?... Oh, right. You can't".

Removed likely because of the mention that there probably would be a cure if more women got it.

Can't have comments that show the possibility that women are privileged.

More women do have it

My Mother tried for years to get a Dr to take her seriously

She said they always shrugged and told her to look into wigs.

I started bitchng about it years ago when it first started to feel less dense

ALL my Doctors told me i was paranoid

SO YOU ARE REALLY TRIGGERING ME LOLOL

I don't believe in his hypothesis. Hair growth is extremely complex and not life threatening, this is why I believe it hasn't been cured.

I still believe this comment was removed for bullshit women-can't-be-privileged reasons.

Oh i did not see the comments that were removed

I just think it bullshit that it would be cured if women had it

Women have it

And older women are the women with the money to pay for expensive cures

40% of women get hair loss.

I see older women constantly with hair loss.

Older women are the ones paying for cosmetics and treatments that cost money.

50% of women by age 50 have some hair loss.

So i just think this notion of 'if it was happening to women it would be cured' does not make sense from a practical stand point.

You really think a 60 year old doctor with tons of money, 25 year old wife and two children, cares of your balding issue.

Maybe Dr. Brotzu
