Hey guys,

I've been on the big 3 (1mg finasteride, 5%min,2%Ket shampoo) for 10months and although my hairloss has slowed down I haven't gained much hair back. Hair is still kinda thin and I feel I'm still loosing hair very slowly. I've read a lot online about other treatments like topical finasteride, cg-03-01 or setipiprant. I was wondering if anyone knew more about these alternative treatments and could give me some suggestions. Thank you!

I don't want to mess with dutasteride though. It's quite dangerous I feel. Any other thoughts guys?

It doesn't even make sense to say you're still losing hair slowly when you've obviously regrew some density. You probably should've started a couple years earlier, but there's no point in saying that now. I actually see a pretty good improvement; without treatments it would have been close to bear skin on top by now. I've heard some people continue getting results past the one year mark so all you can do now is hope and wait a few more months. Besides dutasteride there's spironolactone that seems to work pretty good, but long term effects are still unknown. Besides that I would tell you to get a transplant on top since you are old enough and that could get rid of any signs of balding.

I'm only 25 though. I've though about hair transplant but they've told me I'm too young. I'm just trying to gain more hair back so I wanna incorporate other treatments.

Lol, too young, no thing such as too young, since your hair loss has stabilized I'd say a transplant would work wonders. But keep in mind to save some donor hair for future sessions.

@Masakage - I went to two surgeons, second one was Dr. Feller and they both advised me to not get a hair transplant and wait until I'm 30, which it's honestly a pain in the ***. I wish I could just get it if my hairless wouldn't advance more. But I think I can still try other grow treatments that's why I'm asking you guys' opinion here.

@ TD500 I tried RU like a month ago. I was on like 2% and had sides. I felt so tired and sleepy the whole day. I couldn't function at all :/

The problem is, hair loss never really stops whether you are 25 or 45. It will continue to progress, hence personally I wouldn't take age into accountability, but usually, you would have multiple sessions if you are a lower norwood, which can be a hassle but if planned appropriately you'd have a good head of hair.

Actually, why don't you try a PRP? I had a friend of who tried it, got significant regrowth, it should help thicken up your centers and crown.

Well, in terms of price, it is. Hence why I haven't done one myself, but, it seems to have worked for a lot of people, and is getting popularity, doesn't hurt to try honestly.

I'd stay on finasteride for at least another year. See what happens. If you quit you're fckd anyway.
