Can I crush Finasteride in my Nizoral shampoo? If so... how much?

I have about 30 tablets of "Fincar" that I do not EVER intend on taking orally, so the question is can I crush them in a bottle of 100mL Nizoral 2%? How much dosage would be sufficient?

Given that it becomes less effective is exposed to moisture, I don't think it is a good idea.

You can do anything you want, but it would be a waste of time IMO. If any of it gets absorbed then you would have the same systematic side effects as taking it orally.

Yeah I guess this is true, even if only a little gets absorbed... I think it's said 0.25mg can still inhibit as much DHT systematically as 5mg?

I'm pretty sure that's not accurate at all.

5mg inhibits about 90-92%
1mg inhibits about 82-86%
0.25mg around 55-60% (this one can be debated though)

The take home message is that finasteride effectiveness increases w/ increased concentration but not linearly.
