What are the right "features to carry off the bald look"? People always say "tanned, muscular square jawed" blah blah blah. Well I'm skinny (6'0 55kg) and pale as f*ck and I've had nothing but compliments since adopting the bald look.

That's not the 'bald look' that's the buzzed look. bald is no hair.

[quote="s.a.f":2h7njem5]I dont care what people say hair does make a difference. Its like saying a good looking guy at 160lbs will still be good looking at 300lbs (he would'nt).
If you got a group of bald guys and put nw1 wigs on I'm sure that most would agree it makes a big difference.
Although obviously most people would choose not to go that route.
Some people look about 10+ yrs younger with hair. I can honestly say that I look better now after my hair transplant's than I did 10 yrs ago.
Most of the so called bald heartthrobs gained their staus when they still had hair Bruce Willis, Agassi ect if those guys had been bald right from the start they probably would'nt have been viewed as good looking.
Some people have the features to carry off the bald look but in my opinion thats a small minority.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. 300lbs of weight is going to completely alter the appearance of your facial features. Losing your hair won't. Furthermore, being bald does not give the impression of poor health. Weighing 300lbs does.

Err thats not the bald look thats the shaved look theres a big difference when you have no hairline at all. And many people do relate baldness to poor health (if only subconciously) because its seen as an old mans condition.

Note that that picture was taken several days of not buzzing my hair down with no guard. I generally have it much shorter than that. I posted it to show the receding hairline (or should I say receded, because it's always had a NW2 shape, albeit abnormally high for a NW2.)

A tiny bit of stubble as seen after a zero guard buzzcut is not that noticeable on me anyway because of the high hairline - everybody refers to me as bald. A zero guard buzzcut may not be considered bald here but in the real world it is.

And how does accepting reality make someone immature?
Sorry, but I don't live in some dream world.
I deal with things the way they are, not how I wish them to be. Balding does effect a persons appearance and it also can limit you in many other ways. That's just life. If someone looks good bald or isn't bothered by it, fine. There's no need to come here and chastise the rest of us who feel differently about our hair loss, though. That shows a true lack of maturity.
