The ugly guy with long hair is really bothering me. He's wearing lipstick I think, he has a bad haircut and he is 30 lbs overweight. He also doesn't listen to anybody else.

So even though masculine women are a huge turn off to let's say for the sake of argument, 95% of men, those other 5% of men will still actively pursue masculine women. And because it's a "niche" they will get constant attention from a lot of men, even if it's 5% which is a conservative number.

These men will message them on instagram, etc. And in my example, these aren't even incel men, but those who can get girlfriends, and still lust after their "niche" desires.

I'm also hyper-aware when the other person is awkward in anyway.

And even though I often don't have the skills to move past it, I'll know to walk away or shut up at the very least.

Plus, like you say, I'll rarely make a move until I'm fairly sure of the outcome. This, overall, probably does more damage though. Lack of experience is one of my issues.

This is pretty much what I tried to convey at 2 am last night.
Faults in men big or small are looked at as faults, while women get a pass on the same faults and the faults are perceived as cute. No matter which fault a woman has she will always find a man who is willing to accept her the way she is, the other way around not so much.

Some of this might have to do with the fact that, from my experience and observation, men are in general less picky than women about virtually EVERYTHING - where/what to eat, where to vacation, what to do as an activity on any given day etc. The modern woman is just an incredibly picky and fickle creature, and I feel this has been inculcated by the culture at large - it's not genetic. Though perhaps the propensity was always there, latent.
