The said reality is, no matter what people say or write, deep down, looks will always be the only thing people will care about, and the only thing that truly matters.

we are moving away from it at least...at a rate of about .0001 km/hr. 2000 years ago it was "those people's skin is too dark (or too light) so they are barbarians and we must kill them". now skin color is mostly acceptable, and we are at "ew, that guy has a receding hairline, that creeps me out!" like Fred said: who gives a f*** if it 'creeps you out'. your problem, not mine. give it another 1000 years, and hair loss will be accepted. we won't be attractive, but at least we won't be ostracized.

If your presence was really such a problem then I don't think you'd still have your job. The b**ch sounds crazy and tbh seems like she's just reflecting a personal problem in which you remind her of someone who she is "creeped out" by. Especially the fact that she blames it on your "physique". If she wouldn't have speculated then maybe Id say it was all you. This sounds like it's more her problem than yours. Do you ever get a similar vibe off other clients?

Welcome to my life. People stare at me everyday because of the combination paleness + Norwood 5 hair + framecel physique (5'' wrists, to give you an idea)

Not to mention your sexy voice.

Apparently the opposite of the halo effect is the horns effect - where the individual cannot be seen to have positive traits as their negatives are too much of a significant factor.

Ridiculous. I'm glad to be back in Europe, where people don't act so self-important !

Ha ha! What a load of sh*t! Seriously?!?!?
You won't escape the " I'm so important" attitude no matter where you live on this fucked up planet.
And I've been to Europe. It's most definitely there too.

i received a negative comment from an anonymous client at work today. she said she was creeped out by me and wrote that it probably wasn't because of anything i did, but i have the physique of men who have creeped her out in the past.

was this in reference to my bird's nest? because i have the most vanilla physique ever. i'm a 6 foot 170 pound white dude. did she see my thin temples and associate it with creepers? it's just really hurtful to hear that i'm a creep because of my genetics which i have no control over.
Lol...who cares. The only women that say sh*t like this are fat ugly chicks (and who cares what they think anyway), cuz it makes them feel better about themselves for like 30 seconds....until they snap back into reality and realize they're just a fat ugly b**ch.
