Finasteride and moreover dutasterida can indeed be dangerous. I have been taking it for years and now it is taking its toll in a hard way. I can feel its killing me. But hey..thats a good thing in my case. The sooner Im gone the sooner the torture will stop. So it might do good service for you too in that regard. Be happy.

It's doable, but requires a pristine eye for detail to avoid running the risk of transection and compromising semi-healthy hair.

However, if it does result in permanent shock loss then the hairs were already on there way out anyway. At this point the hairs that die did not provide any aesthetic camouflage and style to begin with. It's not to much of a concern, seeing as you are passed a situational level of coverage and clearly outline a balding spot that could benefit from a transplant. Which would result in a better end result.


The biggest issue with crowns are that you destroy graft coverage and can result in a spiral of transplanted hair if all else goes, leading to an un-natural appearance. Focus on maintenance with medication, then re-evaulate the progression months away from now. If you are on finasteride, then you are already ahead of the ball game. Without finasteride, I would not risk a crown transplant.



maitenance is crucial for monk baldies such as yourself. If that crown keeps progressing then a transplant is a waste of time. Essentially you will play catch up, waste your entire donor area then have nothing for the most crucial part of your appearance - hairline.

No. my only flaw is a beta chin.

It's not masculine, meaning it's not parallel with the bottom lip. Sits slightly behind, looks fine from the front but beta tier from the side.

Without a DOM chin you will always be known as the cute guy. Never the hottie.
