The finpecia definitely works...I can't confirm it contains 1mg finasteride, but I have no reason to doubt that it does, and quite a few have used the fincar. You'll be fine with either, I'm sure.

thanks. could you give me more info on the uniotedpharmacies? ive heard from some that its very reliable but im just inherently skeptical. it does seem more reliable than others though.

I've placed two orders with them so far. I'm in NYS and received the first one in 9 days. The second shipment was taken by Customs...I immediately contacted United and they gave me the option of a total refund or replacement order. I chose the replacement order and received it in 7 days. They've always responded promptly to my emails and are quite helpful.....or should I say the one guy is..it's always the same person responding to my inquiries. After my supply runs out though, I'll probably try to get a real 'script for generic finasteride now that it's available. It will be just as cost effective since my insurance will probably cover it.

that just sounds awesome i was just wondering if you had any info on the drug actually being real though hehe.

as for that Customs stuff, you're from Central New York like I am(check your private messages by the way cause i sent you one). does customs take packages often?

thanks

I can only assume it is real if my hair is becoming thicker/healthier since I've started taking it and I experienced mild sides for a week or two. I can't confirm it contains 1mg finasteride but as I've stated Cipla is a well known/respected pharmaceutical company and produce only quality drugs. If you're concerned about them being counterfeit...think about this....why would anyone counterfeit Indian generic drugs when the money would be in making fakes of name brand products? Anyway, someone on this forum will be testing samples of the generics soon, so hopefully that will convince you.

thanks beaner yeah i was thinking exactly that. the money would be faking in the propecia since its so expensive but the finasteride itself really isn't. thanks a lot for reassuring me, i plan to place my first order of ffinpecia soon, after my proscar runs out. :)

Alright! I just got my shipment of 30 packs of 10 of Finasteride (Finpecia?)

Taking my first one now. Says with or without meals. So 1 a day, try to take at the same time? Anything else I should know? I know their are some mild side effects I might experience and or shedding? How bad/long is the shedding?

I'm going to take pictures today or soon. Try to document this in increments of 3 months. I have high hopes for me being a success!

Thanks for all your help guys.

Don´t get so excited just yet and don´t bring up your hopes so much with a drug that only starts showing its effects 6-12 months after you start taking it. I´m saying this because a lot of people give up after initial shedding (which didn´t last long with me at all and probably started around the 2nd week on it) or after months on it with no change. A lot of times, maintenance is what people get from finasteride. so the key thing here is, PATIENCE! just try not to think about your hair for some 6 to 8 months, unless obviously, u get really bad side effects!

i looked at the morroco site. it sells a lot of hair loss scams.

the only place the author should apply minoxidil is in the hair line. 1/4 mL per day should do.

Yeah. I understand this.

So get minoxidil from costco? Or where's the best/cheapest. Is nizoral (sp?) shampoo a must? Where to get this as well?

get nizoral at any drug store or walmart. It is not a must, since it is very weak. At $4 per month, it might be too much for some people given the weak effect, but it does help fight hair loss from a different angle. I thought I read that it is as strong as 2% minoxidil, which is very strong, but I don't remember.

Thing is, if something maintains hair instead of regrowing it, many people will say it is weak, when that is almost as strong as propecia.

Did you say inhouse is in the US? how do you know that?

Beaner,

Does this come as a surprise to you? How can they legally make these drugs in the US, or import them and distribute the?

Inhouse is based and ships from the South Pacific. I can't remember specifically where my package from them came from, but it was definitely from overseas.

Where's the cheapest places for minoxidil? Only apply to the frontal areas (that's only place where I'm losing hair) right? Don't know much about anything else but the Finasteride.

walmart has it cheap in the equate brand. For $7 shipping and the same price, you can get it at http://www.minoxidildirect.com. yeah, just put it where it is thinning. It grows a lot of hair when you use it, but it does not slow balding at all. only the propecia does that. the SODs are for regrowing hair, not just making it bigger and dependent.

What about the Kirkland brand from Costco? How do you apply it? Is it a shampoo or something you just spray on?.....

My hair isn't thinning. It's just my receding hairline.

What's SOD mean?

The Kirkland kind you apply the same way as any other minoxidil. You can either drop it on with a dropper on the balding areas or you can use a sprayer if the areas are bigger. You just want to make sure it gets in the scalp.

SOD stands for superoxide dismutase. There are products like Folligen and Tricomin, which are copper peptide SODs, and have been proven to grow hair.

Alright, I'll try to log it.

I'm still about 2 weeks ish into it. No side-effects at all. I haven't started using minoxidil yet. I still have to order some. I'll probably wait until the 3 month period until I take pictures unless something miraculously happens.

That freckle/mole has been my measuring point for my receeding hairline :hairy:

Going to pick up 5% kirkland minoxidil from Costco this week and nizoral as well. Can you get it at Costco? If not I'll head to walmart.

Been using minoxidil 1x a day. No side effects yet or any drastic changes. Hair shedding seems to still be the same. I'll post pics soon and you guys can see if there's anything different. I know it takes a long time to see results.
