Re: Damnthis' Story- (25 years old, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
3 years 3 months
no change up there
stopped smoking weed:
change down there (not that I was having problems): morning erections, higher libido,
also more energy, more positive thinking...
Maybe a spike in testosterone?? maybe happier, less down hence more energy, more energy hence more sexual thougts, feelings...??
hope this will not affect my hairstatus...
thougts, opinions...
maybe I should add topical spironolactone or something but I doon't like the hassle of topical applications...also considering my bad experoience with minoxidil in the past(check older contributions to my story), but I DO want to keep my hair!
cheers
Re: Damnthis' Story- (25 years old, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
The last week or two I have been shedding more then normal and I think my hair gets more oily a little bit faster also a bit more itchy.
except for the first year the number of shed hairs was minimal compared to the days before propecia...
-Could this be a synchronised shed (did any of you experienced posters experience that)
-could this be the increase in testosterone from stopping smoking weed
-could this be the new batch of Propecia. I got from quality health inc.
-could this be a very stressfull (emotionally) two weeks I had about 2 months ago
-or is it more likely that it is starting to 'stop' working for me
Re: Damnthis' Story- (25 years old, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
So you think it's normal, why, can you elaborate on that?
I'm definately shedding now, I know this because my routine has always been the same,
I shower then comb my hair and see how much hairs are approximately stuck in the comb, It used to be max. 20 on non-shampooing days and approx. 50-60 on shampooing days... The last few weeks its >100 on shampooing days and >60 on non-shampooing days...
Re: Damnthis' Story (>3 years on finasteride, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
what kind of pattern hair loss were you experiencing when you started losing your hair.....was it duffuse thinning all around, or was your hairline receding....or both??
Re: Damnthis' Story (>3 years on finasteride, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
diffuse thinning in upside-down-V-shape, so it's wider in the front, my hairline is still quite allright the thinning is more pronounced behind the hairline.
Re: Damnthis' Story (4 years on finasteride, diffuse with pics(05/2007)
So it's been 4 years, never thought there would be something that could really help out with hairloss, but now 4 years down the road I have more hair then when starting out and I am maintaining that hair. Needless to say I am very happy.
I hope the graph about the finasteride-results from the FDA-tests goes back to baseline in a very steady decline due to non-responders losing more and more hair (and so pulling the graph down) or due to natural thinning of the hair because of aging.
