Details of hairloss

Does anyone know of any websites with info on the "details" done to the genetic and enzymatic level of hairloss? Many sites are only for laymen. I am looking for info regarding protein and hormone reactions.

In this article, I found why DHT has different effects on scalp hair versus beard hair (and presumably hair on the sides). It says that beard hair has 5-alpha reductase 2 while scalp hair has 5-alpha reductase 1.
