Well I'm at the four month mark now. Still shedding a decent amount, maybe a little crown regrowth.

My hairline is still pretty crappy but I don't look even slightly balding due to really long hair covering it.

Might add rogaine foam at six months if I'm still unhappy with the hairline.

What's the likelihood of me ever going back to shedding normal amounts of hair?

I think most people say give it 6-9m or even a year.

Well I'm around the six month mark now. And apart from the shedding that's popped up just recently due to a two week (and still going) lack of fincar, my hair is awesome. People only notice the receeding if I show them and my confidence has jumped huge amounts.

I'm just hoping to god my finasteride comes soon. It's been nearly two weeks since I ordered it. =\
