zero...
if it does, the people around you are idiots, or (more likely) have changed and give everyone the creep/insecure/whatever vibes...

It has made me very insecure. I feel like people can see my bad hairline. Ever since I noticed hair loss I have been depressed and hyperfocused on treating it. I look up female opinions of bald guys, they look overwhelmingly bad. I believe that what women say and how they feel are not always congruent. So I believe that a bald guy is ruled out 90% of the time just for being bald. I think the meanest comments are from women. They have this belief that bald men just didn't take good care of themselves or had a severe p**rn addiction or low testosterone. They also call shaving it the modern day combover because it is the new means to hide the horseshoe pattern.

Women say bald is beautiful but the data shows it is far from it.

and you are right about it... if youre slick bald, you are out most of the time, same as women are ruled out when they are fat (fat men are ruled out, too)...
bit receded most likely wouldnt matter...

usually all women i hear bashing bald people are single anyway, most likely for a reason, thats why even though it sucks and i got no idea why they have to mention it any given opportunity, i usually take it with a grain of salt...

I think the worst is my family. My aunts, cousins, etc are mostly female and they bash bald all the time saying "he really let himself go" or "it's just disgusting". The worst is one aunt who is literally a walking blackpill. She got divorced by a deadbeat husband and she is extremely superficial. The worst I heard from her was one time she was drunk and told my pregnant cousin that she is lucky her husband has a real job because when the divorce happens she will get money from him and that she didn't get anything but child support from her ex and was mad. Keep in mind here, she made like 90k a year and he made like min wage and because he was unable to afford a lawyer he didn't get anything from my aunt. It was a lopsided win for her. But she wanted more.

It goes to show that if you are bald or ugly or anything that won't convince a woman to stay with you then marriage might be a bad idea.

If I end up bald I wouldn't get married. Too risky. I think there should be a male version of #metoo where guys get screwed in a divorce and they just withhold marriage completely.

i dont see the point in marriage anyway, that is a thing of the past and a waste of money to me... if you marry without a prenup, then you didnt make the best decision anyway...
the only way i could see myself getting married is just by contract, of that would give my wife any financial security or otherwise security and if there was something she would inherit...
no flashy party and dresses and sh*t, i cant even look at other peoples wedding parties without feeling sick^^

i honestly sometimes wonder how many women get divorced if the man is balding, or if that is just some anecdotes...
i read that sometimes on the net, in reality i dont see many women having good looking partners, so maybe it doesnt matter...

well here its usually my friends and my coworkers bashing bald people... my friends are more or less not that bad, they just mention it sometimes if someone is balding (on tv, or social circle, or whatever), sometimes it sounds like pity, sometimes it sounds like they just dont like it... outside i overhear it too quite often (or lets say in restaurants and bars, not on the street of course) and is way worse, like balding is the worst thing ever and makes you look like you got necrosis in yo face...

same goes for my coworkers, balding is an instant no-go and that i hear nearly every day, since they are talking about dudes every day (all long time single)... and men are hold to the same standards as they are in the us apparently, have to be young, good looking, and have to have money (better looks, less money needed)... its so ridiculous that its easy to see why they are single...

my family isnt bashing at all... some bald people in there, two on my fathers side (father and his brother), my sisters ex husband is bald... i dont think anyone ever cared there... of course that was long before social media^^ like 50 years earlier^^
my brother is balding to, even though he insists he still has got his hair... but when i saw a picture recently, he is nearly island stage receded, so im quite sure the rest is going to follow (hes two years younger than me and back then i also still had an alright crown)...

Or just don't marry people like your aunt, who I'm sorry to say, doesn't sound particularly nice.

The thing I read about is how women try online dating and complain about how everyone is balding. If they found a very effective solution for balding then maybe most of those men could've avoided this? Women would be very happy about it.

well unfortunately it is a fact of life that a lot of people are balding, as it is a fact of life that tits start sagging and asses are getting fatter... both sides got nothing to complain about and both sides could lower their standards, or dont make them about looks only in the first place...

i always wonder why noone ever thinks about: when apparently 80% of all men are balding more or less, the remaining 20% cant be all the musicians/actors/models in the world... i always wonder why for the normal dude things are perceived different... like i can tell you on tv here that most men had something done, got a wig/fibers, or combover of any kind... women dont see that at all somehow (though that is maybe a different thought process, non balding people might also not see it)...

got to say: i also always hear men complaining about fat women and single mums on dating sites... they should just date each other, would
make things easier...
is like here i often hear people complaining about not having friends... in the end it turns out: they are just super picky for shallow reasons, instead of being friends with each other (i mean they got the same interests, jobs, everything anyway, couldnt be easier)...

men complain about this and that, women complain about this and that and in reality, if you put them in a dark room they wouldnt mind...

I don’t know. I was always considered a pretty boy, all the girls liked me even when I buzzed my hair, but now with my horseshoe, it’s all over. God gave me great hair only to take it away from me at 19. I’ll probably have to start shaving it after 2-3 months to a one down from a #2 buzz. Fml.

Don’t know. I just started losing hair 6 months ago. I was “that guy”. I wasn’t suppose to lose my hair, I think now people will just brush me off. No longer the pretty boy that I was, which I know was coming, but not before my 20th birthday. FML

That hair loss is very aggressive. I'm looking in the mirror a lot and I am hoping to stabilize but my left temple just seems to keep getting worse. I am very concerned that I'm a non-responder to finasteride. If that's the case then it's over for me. I know there is shedding before regrowth but I keep seeing online people losing their hairline despite being on the drug.

yeah im loosing on the crown despite being on finasteride/dutasteride/min... surprisingly the hairline went better and is stable (though not really nice) and even seems to
get new regrowth now...

I dont understand that. If dutasteride drops dht to very low levels then why are you still losing ground?

yeah i dont understand that either... i hope it is just a shed, since i changed to oral min/dutasteride about three month ago...
but before i switched while i was still on finasteride and topical min i was loosing ground, that was the reason i started dutasteride in the first place...

i looked the medication up and it doesnt seem to be fake... going to change the brand the next time i order...

the reviews on the topical min nearly all said its going to get worse first and then way better, you got to finish one box before you see something (one box lasts 100 days)...
probably also going to up the min dose from 5 to 10...

Yeah. Minoxidil has a shed phase around the 3 month mark. I've only been on finasteride for 1 month but I was hoping the recession would stop completely but it only seems to get worse. I'm not sure if I want to roll the dice with Avodart yet because I know most don't see results for months, even years, but if I continue to lose ground then I'm going to have to take a chance at some point. I was hoping surgery was avoidable but with the way things look now I'm doubting it.
