Realization other people subconsciously segregate you as a balding man to a class of inferiority, being just a "nice guy" with a great personality no longer works in any circumstance (nice guy syndrome only works with hair), other bald/balding men will act passive aggressive toward you out of projecting their insecurities about baldness. Its a shitty disease that deserves a cure.

It has made me very insecure. I feel like people can see my bad hairline. Ever since I noticed hair loss I have been depressed and hyperfocused on treating it. I look up female opinions of bald guys, they look overwhelmingly bad. I believe that what women say and how they feel are not always congruent. So I believe that a bald guy is ruled out 90% of the time just for being bald. I think the meanest comments are from women. They have this belief that bald men just didn't take good care of themselves or had a severe p**rn addiction or low testosterone. They also call shaving it the modern day combover because it is the new means to hide the horseshoe pattern.

Women say bald is beautiful but the data shows it is far from it.
And you are 30, other people around you should be more accepting. At 18 I understand why they would act as you describe but why at 30 though?
And judging by your pics I dont think you have been impacted by hair loss physically.

You would be surprised. I think at 40 balding isn't viewed as bad. But at thst time you are older and probably married.

I didn't give quality pics because I poorly tried to hide my face. My left temple is just not good at all. It affects me every time I look in the mirror. Right temple is fine. Thinning on top only looks bad when I'm under fluorescent lighting. I grow out a fade to best compliment the difference. Yes I am extremely insecure.

Yeah. Minoxidil has a shed phase around the 3 month mark. I've only been on finasteride for 1 month but I was hoping the recession would stop completely but it only seems to get worse. I'm not sure if I want to roll the dice with Avodart yet because I know most don't see results for months, even years, but if I continue to lose ground then I'm going to have to take a chance at some point. I was hoping surgery was avoidable but with the way things look now I'm doubting it.
yeah same here and im not even looking for nw1 or anything, i just want the crown to fill in, if possible id like to
get the hairline to be better, that is all...

thing is i was using finasteride for three years (and topical min) and lost the crown, but had regrowth in the front (like a lot, that was worse than island level)... from what i read and hear, that shouldnt be possible, it should be the opposite...

anyway im going to up oral min first and then i will see... it does work for body hair so far, not extremely, but i see myself shaving my arms and plucking eyebrows more frequent than i used (and i dont have a lot of body hair to begin with)...
time will tell... if all fails, i go to korea and get a transplant, unless i find financing plans here...

I really wish for revolutionary surgical treatments. As a white guy whose dad is a norwood 7 by mid 40s, I know doing nothing is dooming myself to severe baldness which cannot be treated with surgery as white people tend to have terrible donor hair and require more grafts for "full" coverage. If they had ways to multiply hairs and give permanent results I wouldn't be as anxious about this. I feel like hair loss is just a major cosmetic issue men face that we cannot cure yet. I read all the time about women complaining about men balding, if we had a cure then women should be happy that now there are more dating options for them. I'm mostly referring to women around my age. Even late 20s through 30s do not like bald. I have single cousins who tried online dating. They complain every guy is either fat, short, or balding. Fat can be fixed, short... not so much and neither can balding at certain stages. But if they had a treatment for balding then 2/3 problems men face are fixable.

yeah.... i actually should have good donir hair, since everything else is thick and keeps growing like there is no tomorrow...
i give dutasteride a year and will up oral min (if i dont get any sides) and see what happens...
i mean its not like we got another choice anyway...

about dating, as i mentioned, most women complain about balding... i think they actually know that there is not much you can do... i even think that they dont know about treatments, since it doesnt affect most of them...
but i honestly dont blame them for that, because i think the same... not so
much about balding men, since i dont pay mich attention, but i do care about being fat, or having fat asses... i do have the same standards for myself though... last weekend i did the mistake stepping on a scale and im 65kg now (at 180) and thought “when did i become a disgusting fatty??”... diet it is now... of course that goes for me only, your weight for example doesnt concern me at all^^

On what planet is 65kg fat at 180? I think some of you need to reassess your thinking a bit.

lol yeah, it is for me (and myself), because you can see me having a belly sometimes... i am usually very slim, so the slightest gain makes it stick out...
of course otherwise it isnt fat at all, i just dont like having a belly... i dont need any abs, or anything...

I used to think that online dating is not a good way to meet people who look for serious relationships. There are too many people who look only for a hookup or free dinner there. But when my father started using senior dating sites canada and met a good woman there, I saw the hope. So, I decided to give it a try. But still, I worried about my balding. Fortunately, I met a great man who didn't even consider it to be an issue. He is my husband now :)
Well yeah. Men don't nearly have the same standards.
