Do both. I clean shave, then let it grow out for a week for the stubble look. I get mixed reviews for each one. Stubble looks great but one girl said it hid my jawline. She still liked it though. Gf hates stubble, said it looks nice but it's like sandpaper on her skin. Ultimately the fresh clean look shows your face better.

I tend to do this too. I'll never go longer than 3-4 weeks without shaving, which leaves me with (ironically) Captain Hook or Calvin Harris length facial hair growth.

I agree, I feel like stubble hides my jawline but on the other hand it adds much needed hair to my head area. I do the same let it grow then double edge razor clean. If you have good skin and bone structure then its a shame to hide it under long stubble.
