Minoxidil isn't the carrier. The solvent that it's in is the carrier. So yah I guess so

One thing I never understood is why if you used finasteride for 5 years, and then stop why does hair loss speed up to shed all the hair you kept? Doesnt it seem like you would just slowly start going bald again at the same speed as before you started? What really changed to make it speed up and lose all that hair you kept? Seems odd

Because the receptors became more sensitive to dht not just because of age but because of deprivation. Then when you normal dht levels return they just die much faster

This has been debated many many times in the past. I dont think there is conclusive evidence that this actually happens. Although I would agree that its possible it could happen. Just I think its a theory right now, but its not a proven one.

I think its a bit scary to think this this flood of DHT overwhelming the hair tissues seems like it would also happen to all other tissues effected by DHT. Neurosteroids in the brain, skin tissue, who knows what else. You would assume tissue besides hair would die from too much DHT after being deprived for so long. Who knows I guess.
After trying it for 1 day I decided its too strong for me. I tried saw palmetto many years ago and assumed propecia would be similar. Nope its way way stronger and I only took .25 mg and the very first day I felt sides.
Hair isnt worth these risks to me. I guess after a few weeks maybe it regulates itself out to some new normal so you stop noticing, but I dont want to risk the sides I had in 1 day getting much worse. I felt very weird throughout the entire day.

Why not just use topical finasteride? Save your nuts and hormones

Try using "Tropical Nicotine" patches and see if just your arm feels like not smoking anymore...

The only thing that is fucked up with about finasteride is that you need prescription to get it.
