Well, Dr. Woods and Campbell have successfully transplanted body hair to the scalp. The body hair then supposedly takes on the properties of regular head hair; frankly, I'm a bit skeptical.
I seen some of Dr. Woods work in person and it is excellent. His hairlines aren't the best I've ever seen (but then, he refuses to put them low) but in terms of scar/graft detection, it is virtually impossible to tell. The only thing you might notice is how symettrical the hairline is - as we all know, you generally don't lose from both sides in exactly the same pattern.
