Was on seti, after that did microneedling only and now on zix.

Seti worked, had a slowdown of hairloss. Was content with that. But hard getting a hand on and wanted to test some other things. Now on zix and seeing if that works.

I am currently using 20mg of zinc daily u think it’s enough to do anything for hairloss?

Orally? That won't do anything.

Zix is a topical consisting of zinc and vitamin B6. They have synergetic properties working together. Check out the zix thread here, everything's explained there.

Pigeon did you ever consider low dose topical finasteride?

Nope, I do believe chances of side effects are much lower but oral fina fcked me up so I'm quite hesitant in trying that. Even a low dose of fina entering the blood stream, could be enough to lower DHT significantly if I look at the studies.

But if I could go back, I probably would start with topical fina. If I'd see even a small sign of a potential fina side effect, I'd quit immediately though. It's fucked that the first thing some dermatologists suggest is taking oral fina, yes it does work but it's not worth the risks imo.

Yeah you're right. I also find it strange how people experience less side effects on topical finasteride eventhough it suppresses about the same DHT. So maybe side effects aren't just caused by that suppression.
I personally got a 3 month supply of 0.1% topical liposomal finasteride which will be my first treatment, interesting to see how that will go. Eventhough I am still not that excited to use it.

Do you have any threads with pics of your hair pigeon? is it aggressive or slow?

I was actually thinking about if preventing estrogen increase on finasteride would prevent prolactin increase but I don’t believe that even with my sharp E increase that it would alone be responsible for a 4 fold increase in prolactin. Rather I believe there must be another mechanism at work.

Also DIM wouldn’t work - simply not strong enough . You’d need to find the correct dose of arimidex to keep you balanced .

I'm thinking of trying something like clomid. I know that bodybuilders use this to combat raised E levels after a cycle and so I'm thinking that this may work

You don’t want Clomid . Clomid binds to E receptors forcing up LH, which in turn causes a rise in T . Bodybuilders use it to get their testes to return to function again . It’s also increasingly being used by endocrinologists to help men with low T . You may even get a an increase in E with it because the % of T that gets converted to E remains the same because of the same amount of aromatase still existing.

I see. I don't think that I will be able to obtain something like Arimidex to counter the E increase so I will continue with DIM and Zinc Supplement. Currently on 0.5mg finasteride per day and will keep an eye for sides.
