Thanks mate, I would look to try finasteride and min if you haven’t already before looking into a transplant, get some pics sent off to a few surgeons and see what they suggest for you.

Just over 6 months, not expecting any more improvements now but overall happy with the result when looking back at my before pics.

I would definitely recommend Dr Demirsoy and his team and think he is up there with some of the best surgeons especially when you factor in the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the clinic again as my hair loss progresses.

Cheers mate, my temples could do with a bit more work and my vertex is thinning, but if it can last me until I’m 27 I’d get another transplant to finish it off.

Realised I haven’t actually put that many before photos on, for anyone interested:

1st picture - July 2015, before finasteride & Min.
2nd picture - October 2015, think I started finasteride & Min at this point.
3rd picture - March 2016.
4th picture - March 2018, decided to book in for a transplant.

For minoxidil, I use 1.5ml once daily all over the head with 1.5mm dermaroller once a week.

All the redness is gone from the transplant.

Im only 20 and hair still seems to be falling out at same rate 6 months on only finasteride, currently 15 hairs in shower and pillow every day and more throughout day. Just wanna make it through my 20s with some hair

Hard to say which worked better as they both have a different affect, if your on finasteride already I would add min and keto and that’s the most you can do.

I know the feeling mate, just keep up your treatments and keep it consistent 6 months really isn’t that long. I believe on average a normal scalp should lose around 50-100 hairs a day so don’t worry.

Scarring is unnoticeable, lot of people don’t believe Iv had a transplant as it looks so natural.

12th month pics, probably my last update unless anyone would be interested in how it’s held up in the future. I may try to do some better comparison photos to baseline.

My hair is definitely still thin although it doesn’t look as bad in pictures for some reason, my crown and vertex being weaker areas and will need some work in the future, looking to get another hair transplant around 2021 to finish off what’s been started. (If I can hold onto to enough of my hair until then)

No, i've just had fue and not going to take finasteride. I am however taking minoxidil. Both are recommended but not necessary.
