I suggest shaving your head with guard 1. I understand where you are coming from about using bicalutamide. However you situation, Dupa, is very hard to treat as it stands. Anyway it would be good for you to use finasteride, search about it, and continue minoxidil maybe foam. That being said I don't recommend you be optimistic at best you will maintain this hair but with guard 1 it will look like an hair cut. My best

hey bro i don't know if you are talking to me or not, but i do use finasteride, but i think it make my hair loss worse, but keep using it just in case. I don't use minoxidil because it gave me heart palpitation. But do you have DUPA yourself to know that it is hard to treat ?
I mean do you have any info to help this situation ?

Yes I was talking to you I have diffuse thinning and even that is not responding very well to treaments. On the other DUPA is not understood well in scientific community or in this forum. But I have heard anectedotes that minoxidil and finasteride help. No more info but keep searching and hang in there. hope everything goes well for you.

I know unfortunately RU58841 gave me chest pain and breathing issue after 1 weeks of usage. I tried even a dosage of 5mg/day but still have breathing sort of issue after some times. So i had to stop very fast before noticing anything. I tried cb0301 for few month now at 30mg /day but as i have to apply it literally everywhere on my scalp it does nothing at this concentration and did not reduce my shedding. And i am conviced that CB0301 is to weak anyway.
The only thing that i can try topically and i think will do something is bicalutamide/enzalutamide/darolutamide.
Enzalutamide cross the blood brain barrier so not good. I have bicalutamide an daro left , but i will use daro as i last resort as i think it is way to powerfull with little safety background. Bicalutamide on the other end seems way more safe.

I just received today bicalutamide (binarex) from inhousepharmacyvu, hoping it is legit, i have a hard time finding a lab in france to test it. so i will try to apply from today 10mg/day in stemoxydine topically, i have seen that is already efficient at that dosage because of it 7 days half life. So going to try that. I am convinced that this time topical bica will work if my pills are legit. If you have any info about how to test the purity of the pill, or what kind of test do i need to ask for in a lab, would be great !!
Hey man how long did it take for ur RU sides to go away?

Hello, just to recap, I am a man and have DUPA hair loss (or female pattern hair loss), diffuse hair loss and thinning (back, sides and top) which started 3 years ago after an episode in my life where my alimentation was very bad and had nutrient deficiency for sure. After fixing my alimentation properly my hair are still shedding and thinning all over.

Since 8 month i only take 1mg finasteride / day (no reduction on my hair loss), cb0301 30mg topicaly with no reduction on my hair loss, Biotin (10mg/day), spearmint tea (4 cup/day to reduce free testosterone), Flaxseed (30 g/day to reduce testosterone)

Here is a complete blood test that I have done 3 weeks ago. It would be great if some of you may highlight some issue in it and maybe propose corrective action as he might help others with similar hair loss.

From my perspective, I think I have low zinc, low vitamin d, high prolactin level, high cortisol level and maybe iron deficiency as we can have it according to study even with normal level of blood iron.

Have you gotten a scalp biopsy?
I'm a female experiencing DUPA (ongoing for several years) and I suspect that it is either one of or a combination of Adrenal/Cortisol Dysregulation, Low Estradiol/Progesterone and/or Sensitivity to DHT.

Do you know if a scalp biopsy might be able to reveal anything as far as what specific hormone imbalance may be causing my case of DUPA? Any insights appreciated as I'm new here and still learning.

hello, according to an other post , this is what is said :

Mandar kumthekar said:
It is normal values .no deficiency or abnormalities.
I think it is DHT causing dupa not ailment.
DHT don’t cause DUPA. You will never see DUPA hairloss sufferer with complete bald head (unless he have DUPA and male pattern baldness).
In DUPA you have one or two hair cycles and your hairs are gone (no miniaturization process can occur that fast, like traditional androgenic alopecia). Only a fool will believe androgen can cause complete minturization and death of hair in that time. This process takes years and varies (but it’s long process)

in DUPA sufferer scalp biopsy shows non scarred dormant hair follicle

A scalp biopsy wouldn’t reveal hormonal problems I don’t think. It’s mostly for other forms of hair loss, like diagnosing alopecia areata. There are diffuse forms of that kind of alopecia so I figured if you’re still uncertain a person should do a biopsy to rule it out.

If it’s a hormonal problem, take blood tests and try to go to an endo doctor.

If your test is high and estrogen a bit low you can lose hair in the way you’re losing it now. I would use bica (a strong anti androgen) and a high dose of bio identical estrogen (estradiol) to treat it. Since you’re a woman, you have more of a flexibility with this type of treatment.

Look into this thread too: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...trogen-promote-and-hinder-hair-growth.113077/

Thanks so much for the biopsy details and suggestions, Selb!

I'm in a country with socialist health care system and although I've been pushing to see a Derm, I've been told by Doctors that it really isn't necessary to see a Derm because regardless of the "cause" of my hair loss there really is only one treatment (minoxidil). I just don't know enough about what a scalp biopsy could potentially reveal to debate this very effectively with them.

I am deficient in E2 & P4 and have very low Free T & Total T. I am currently on Bio-identical HRT through a private pay hormone specialist but I started only a few months ago so probably too soon to expect any improvements in hair just yet.

I'll keep the bica in mind in the event I start T Replacement. I've heard some females do lose hair after starting T replacement, especially if they haven't raised their E2 and P4 to healthy levels first.

Hey guy i have some more info toward DUPA.

Since my last blood test, my endocrinologist just got me tested for free cortisol via urine as it is the free version of cortisol that count and not total cortisol. Here is my range.
83 microg/l (20-50)
229 nmol/l (55-138)

I have almost two times more that the normal range, do you think there could be a link to hair loss ?.

Best regards
