Not sure about 1 mg, but 2.5 mg is shown to supress 79% of scalp DHT, while simultaneously decreasing DHT concentration in plasma with 96%. That sounds a lot, but remember 0.5 mg duta decreases DHT concentration in plasma with 92% so if sides was manageable on 0.5 mg, they probably will be manageable on 2.5 mg.

I at first had minor ball ache and gained weight on it. Im in the process of losing weight. What sucks is that even though my hair was thick and full I was totally out of shape for most of the past 5 years. Heres the thing though. From July of last year to april of this year I was very inconsistent with taking my dutasteride. I think it actually is why my hair was not doing as good. However since april Ive been taking it every day and I think what is happening is im shedding again. When i became consistent again I got very sensitive nipples and they hurt like hell. No discharge and no breast enlargement. So I stuck it out and it subsided. Liver looks very well and blood labs came back perfect. I also got my testosterone levels done as well. Something I should have mentioned. The levels were mildly higher than normal the doctor said. Dutasteride doesnt actually increase testosterone that much more than finasteride. Im taking RU now and adding Nizoral once or twice a week and DHT blocking shampoo daily.

Was on minoxidil for a couple of years but honestly it only stimulates growth. It doesnt actually stop miniaturization. It will at first seem like it does but it doesnt last at all unfortunately. I am on RU now. Been on it for a week now. I'm actually shedding where I'm applying it. So hairline is worse right now.

Where you on minoxidil when you were on dutasteride? I was on minoxidil alone for a few years and maintained before I started losing ground and went on finasteride and had incredible results.
