I would say its more effective than topical, i was speaking to someone on tressless (reddit hairloss forum) who was only taking 5mg and he is experiencing significant regrowth at the crown and temples. I hope i do too. A respected surgeon known as Dr Pathomvanich prescribes it to some of his patients and has said the results he has seen are far superior to that of topical :)
Do you take your oral minoxidil with your Antiandrogens?

Lost too much in temples ain't my gonna risk anymore. Liver can handle 3 months whatever, I want to see result f*****g now! Or I shave!

If you up to 5mg probably you will get more shedding, hairs need to fall to regrowth more thicker.

How are things going on it now? Any sides? Any regrowth at the hairline? Did you try finasteride as well?

I cant answer, because after 3 months on duta i gave up minoxidil ( which i used large doses during more than 1 year), since than im losing hairs like a cancer treatment. But when i was on duta after 3 months and minoxidil the thickkness was insane

Dude you can't expect to stop temple recession with that regiment, you should be on ORAL spironolactone 100mg 2x a day and oral minoxidil 5mg 2x a day with RU for the hairline plus 0.5mg of dutasteride. If you have the money for 5mg of dutasteride a day then you definitely have enough money for the other treatments. You either go hard or go bald in this sick game.

EDIT: The eye wrinkes will go away if you use oral minoxidil after a while it will sort it self out.

Duta works fantastic on the front and temples, it wont regrowth totally bald temples but if you still have some hairs expect to gain some thickness

I dont know man, lots of people have had bad experiences with dutasteride at the hairline. Thats the main reason im not getting on it. If its working for you though all power to you!

Because they start shedding and enter in panic and quit the drug. The initial shedding is pretty hard but later the results are amazing

Im 9 months on finasteride and im losing ground at the hairline alarmingly fast, much more so that before i started so i doubt that i could be shedding for 9 months? I wont deny that if you are a good responder dutasteride is the closest thing to a cure that we've got. Few people from what ive seen get good results. Its mostly just horror stories of how dutasteride is the 'great hairline destroyer' and from how finasteride has reacted in my body im inclined to believe those stories. I dont know why it happens because it just doesn't make sense, but it does happen unfortunately :(

There does seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel check out jgray201's story, he was on dutasteride for a whole year and deteriorated badly to the point he was a NW3a at 19, then he jumped on spironolactone and loniten and regrew absolutely everything and became a coveted NW0

Whatever. thought dutasteride would be enough to halt temples but CLEARLY NOT.
Will up to 1mg Dutas ED.
Adding s5 cream twice a day.
Adding RU from anageninc.

I used 5 mg. Proscar and 0.5 mg of dutasteride years ago. My hair got crazy thick. I got to a point in life that I couldn't afford to keep it going. Plus I was gaining weight from the excess estrogen. Just started back on dutasteride 2 days ago as well as rogaine 5% 1x daily double dose. I'll add in finasteride 1mg In a week or so, and increase the dosage as needed. I usually respond to dutasteride in 2 weeks, as long as it's legit and not fake. The all day chemist seems to sell fake dr. Reddy's. Just a heads up.

Both together! I would also take milk thistle a few times a day to protect the liver. You could also take a anti- aromatase. To stop the estrogen

Get a grip. You're freaking out. Is that the dutasteride? You won't know sh*t for 6 months plus. Stay on 0.5 mg dutasteride/daily, RU on the top and sides, minoxidil x2 day and relax. If you're still losing on that regime, you're hairloss is not androgenic alopecia.

Have you taken either finasteride or dutasteride alone only? Do you think you get better result from taking both together or maybe it's dutasteride?

Also, I assume you take one in the morning and another one at night, now both dutasteride and finasteride at the same time, right?

I used to shed 50 hairs in shower now it's 0 that I can see, and yes not thinning anymore a little denser. Letrozole once a week to keep estrogen low to stop gyno from growing. To shrink it I use tiny drop of andractim on each nipple and rub it in.

I'm currently taking one dutasteride a.m. and one p.m no finasteride right now. I took finasteride alone and it didn't do much for me. So I switched to dutasteride. That's was many years ago. While I still had a prescription for proscar and got it filled monthly I never used it. One day I just started taking the full 5mg. Of proscar instead of splitting it into quarters and dutasteride together and the results we amazing. I just hope it works like it did back then.

It stopped the hairloss, reversed the miniaturization and I regrew hair from hairline to crown. I never got gyno! Only water retention and weight gain. At the time I didn't know about anti estrogens. So I stopped using proscar and dutasteride. I ended up taking up bodybuilding and estrogen dominance really caused a problem. I found out about letrozole by a pro bodybuilder who happed to go to medical school. Now I have the info needed to proceed with my hairloss treatment. I also played with T.R T. I noticed that my hair actually started growing in thicker. Hormones are a strange thing and everyone responds differently

Dude how old are you? I'm not freaking out at all! Don't tell me I won't know sh*t for 6 months.. is that your experience? I'm telling YOU! I respond to dutasteride within two week. The hairs at the hairline start to grow thicker which is visible to the eye and in photos. Stick to your regemin and I'll stick to mine. Everyone is different! Speak for yourself and share what works for you. All of this is trial and error with everyone.
