No, this guy has over 200 positives and only 1 negative. I don't think it was an intentional initial misrepresentation - just a careless one from which he won't now back down. The prism is bulged/dented out on the right side, the foam light seals are disintegrated, bits of trash are floating around in the viewfinder, and there are numerous small scratches and overall wear and tear. The guy also left a roll of half-exposed film in it. Just an overall disappointment...and the guy is still telling me that it's in excellent condition.

Thanks for the tip on Paypal - forgot about that. If things sour I will definitely look into it.

u should definitely file a claim with pp as suggested previously. Before hand I would recommend that you demand ALL your money back as he had sent damaged or worn off goods but described them as excellent condition, so it's his responsibility to refund you your money in full AS WELL as pay for the shipping costs for you to return the item, try making it clear for him. You should not waste 1 cent on this transaction. If he doesn't seem reasonable, file the paypal claim, open a dispute with eBay and neg that mofo. good luck

all I can say about the raja10000 guy is that he looks legit as in I would buy stuff off him. However, the way he threats his customers is not a really a smooth business move. As I assume once he talks crap like that to his customer, he sure as hell won't see that customer coming back lol. There plenty of other sellers on eBay that you can buy that stuff from.

Just for shits and grins, this is the condition as-received. Unfortunately it's difficult to show the dents well since the prism is painted black...but that wavy look comprises the dents.

General wear and tear.... My digital cam won't focus close enough to show the deteriorated foam under the lens mount cover and the back.

This would have been OK if it had been advertised as "fair" condition and that it was in need of repair (at a correspondingly lower price). These Nikons are near-bulletproof and people have them reworked all the time. However, I think you'll agree that this is not an "excellent" condition without dings, dents, or scratches.

Yeah I can see it. For sure "fair" condition. You can tell it was used a lot but taken care of.
