foam is dry, that is news to me, i will use it next time to dry my hands after washing them...

f*****g idiot... you are basing this off of your "theory" that the foam does not reach the scalp, because hair is long... when do people apply foam at the end of hair??? they apply it at the scalp, regardless of hair length, but your bald dumb *** would not even understand

seriously, you just pull these statements from your ***, when scientific evidence refutes what you pulled out

Using foam to penetrate your hair into your scalp is simple. My only guess is that people who are not used it yet are wondering if this is an issue because otherwise they would see that it is not. It works quite well just massage it into your scalp once it is applied.

I don't think anyone's questioning whether foam with penetrate the scalp of people with longer hair. But simply wondering whether a greater percentage will be delivered using the liquid over the foam. I like the liquid dropper because it allows me to place the greatest percentage of minoxidil directly on my scalp.

Seems to me that people with longer hair are almost using the foam to add volume to their hair. And the more that foam gets on the hair, the less it's able to penetrate the scalp.

Yes foam dries quicker, is less oily, and perhaps less irritating. But I'm almost wondering if people with longer hair wouldn't be better served using a combo or Retin-a or Azelaic acid with their minoxidil. You can increase minoxidil absorption greatly, and then use a foam type styling gel to add volume.

I understand your point. The benefits for me of not having to wait hours on end for liquid minoxidil to dry is why I love it. Its such an ordeal to avoid human contact waiting for it to dry twice a day that the foam seemed too good to be true. I guess well have to wait until someone has used it 6+ months after switching from regular minoxidil to see the results but its encouraging.

Anyways, yes the foam gets all over your hair, but so does liquid minoxidil. I don't think people are using it for the volume benefits however.

I already tried the foam in areas with long hair, and it doesn't get to the scalp like the liquid version. A lot of the product stays on my hair!!! It works good on hairline and temples though. How long is your hair?

Just received the foam today.... It wont replace the liquid version, that is for sure. If you have hair, its a PITA to apply if you compare with the liquid version. Specially with the dropper you can apply more minoxidil to the scalp, or you should loose less minoxidil while applying it (specially if you have long hair where you apply it)
But it is perfect fot those of you that apply minoxidil on your hairline though. that is why i will continue to buy the foam version.... Hairline only.

At least I am making you lose more hair. You are a weak little man.

I enter this forum a few times a week, but you enter here many times a day. And you are constantly watching if I replied you. It's funny to keep you stunned on my replies, while I go out, relax and make execersice, you are in your mom's home, watching If I replied. Funny.

Get a life a**h**.

My next reply will be in..... Well, you will never know, keep checking the forum regularly and you will maybe find out.

BTW, this thread is totally off topic, right now, thanks to Bubka who intentionally tries to cause disruption with off-topic bullshit stuff or inappropriate messages.

oh boy, I_Hate_DHT is going with the ever so cool and sophisticated, "get a life" and "computer nerd" defense

... again with the comments about wondering what another man is doing during the day, and where i am at... interesting...

way continue and backup your argument too :p

the subject was if the foam is more effective, studies showed it is, but you disagree with this notion that its all a big conspiracy for rogain to switch men to a lesser effective product? so what, there are more bald men out there unhappy? do you think before you post?

anyway, i would really like to see the study that had an 85% success rate. people have spoken about it before but never posted it, and i havent found it yet.

So true, i'm so reluctant to believe any study driven by a private company that i wouldn't even bother to read it in the case Rogaine publisized it. I only read studies conducted by public universities -there are quite a few online about minoxidil effectiveness for everyone to read- even when the fonds are private. Furthermore, how come Roagine had time to drive the study and evaluate the product and wait six months until the marketed Rogaine foam?, it's hard to believe they waited for so long.

Anyway, i'll rise to the bait and buy Rogaine Foam, i have been using minoxidil (5%) for one month, those who have been using Rogaine for years might correct me, but Rogaine foam isn't that new, it was sold many years ago.

OTOH, although i get i_hate_dht point, i don't see Rogaine making such a stupid move, i.e: to replace a working product for another not working. In my country (Spain), Rogaine liquid is being replaced by the foam and you can no longer find the former.

If HairLossTalk.com did this then you'd quickly experience the phenomenon of no users responding to your posts, because almost EVERYONE would have you on ignore.
