It's crazy that you've pursued such an aggressive regime when you're an NW2.

It's misleading. I was born with a freakishly high hairline. i've had hairline anxiety since i was 10 years old. I've never been carefree about my hair. I've always been bothered by the wind. I spent my undergrad years a hat prisoner despite being NW1 because we had a windy campus.

My hair's always been a nightmare for me. A NW2 looks great on a guy with a nice hairline. When you start with a freakish hairline like mine it makes a bad thing 10x worse.

It's why I have zero tolerance for further balding. I'm also in the middle of a forehead reduction and have a scalp expander implanted. I can't afford to f*** that up or lose more hair with that going on. The more I grow back, the better my final surgical outcome will be.

Damn man, I think that a low dose of Finasteride or 5% RU and 5% minoxidil is all you need really.

Although I can't really judge, I've been tempted to add in dutasteride a couple times a week although I'm basically a Norwood.5 at the worst.

Finasteride and dutasteride don't work for me. I lost a year on each of them. 2 years between them.

I had one good year of maintenance on RU 5% + minoxidil 5%, but then lost hair for a year when I dropped the minoxidil and reduced the RU to 3.7%.

After 4 years of "failed treatments", I don't f*** around anymore. And it's paying off. I couldn't be happier with the progress I'm making and none of the side effects on any of the meds I've tried along the way have been very bothersome.

lol OP this is why i dont get on the extreme regimen :p

i already had horrible palpitations and lightheadednes from liquid minoxidil.

All I can say Exodus is I regret nothing. To the contrary I couldn't be happier with the results I've had in the past 2 months. None of the side effects I've had have been serious in any way. And my hair is regrowing.

I pulled back my hair under the harsh fluorescent bathroom light late at work today after everyone else was gone. That's the harshest lighting I know. It looked the best it's looked in years. That gives me such peace. I can't wait to see the rest come back, assuming it does too.

You literally ate actual weed?! And thought it had an effect?
lol im sure he's talking about just edibles in general

but if you vaporize it first, yes you can actually eat it straight. when vaping it activates the thc somehow, with the heat, same as if you had cooked it.

You don't need to cook weed to get high off it though heating it with fat helps the absorption and activates some of the compounds.

I challenge anyone to eat a few grams of good weed raw after a regular meal. Fat soluble compounds will dissolve in the regular fat of your meal you just ate. And there will plenty of psychoactive compounds coursing through your blood fast enough.

You won't be able to control the rate or amount so outcome may vary.

For me eating is far more efficient than smoking. I can smoke gram after gram after gram and barely get a slight buzz. Waste of time. But if i eat 1/2 a gram in a microwaved brownie/cake mix I'm flying for four hours or more. Often into a very strange or paranoid trip which isn't always fun but i do it anyway. Severely bloodshot eyes so i can't leave the house either during these episodes or its too obvious. I probably need to stop doing this.

If i limit it to 1/4 to 1/3 a gram eaten in microwaved cake mix i get a much more relaxing milder buzz which is more pleasant.

I don't know why smoking weed barely affects me. I don't even do it very often. Even since i was young it doesn't do much for me.

I had exactly the same experience. I gave both a year and a half to two years and things only got worse. I am convinced that testosterone can also contribute to hair loss. Only an aggressive regimen works for aggressive hairloss. Luckily, once I made significant gains I have been able to maintain on RU and dropped oral spironolactone. I did have bouts of gyno though, and you are on stronger, so have some raloxifene to hand just in case.

Yeah. They don't stop test. And they only reduce DHT in the scalp by around 50%. So still plenty of androgens.

In my case though they didn't even lower my DHT. Not sure what the problem was but no effect on my blood levels even on 2.5 mg of brand name avodart.

The distance from my nasion to hairline at the center is just shy of 10 cm. And it was like that since I was a teenager. You call that BDD?

I call it a fucked up hairline before I lost a single strand. Of course losing hair when you start from that standpoint is much worse and harder to handle.

If I had some low Justin Bieber or normal Jon Hamm hairline I probably wouldn't have given a sh*t until I was NW3+.

Wait, dont you mean from your eyebrows to the center of your hairline? because I think i have 10 cm between my nasion and hairline...

How are you measuring it?

Not eyebrows. Eyebrows are not a reliable marker for measurement because they can vary too much from one person to another.

Nasion is the most reliable reference point. It is the deepest point of indentation at the nasal bridge as shown in the diagram. Currently mine is about 9.8 cm. Was probably ~9.3 cm at 15 years old.

If you're anywhere close and aren't a giant 6'+ massive skulled guy, congratulations, you have a massive forehead as well.

It's people like you I really relate to and empathise with on this forum.
Everything you said I totally get and have been in the near exact same situation.

I wish you well, mate

I was thinking about edibles (or maybe that latter option which I have no personal experience of) I just never heard anyone use the terminology "I ate weed" normally it's brownies, gummies, even just edibles or vaped weed. I guess that's normal in some places?

Why is that mate? Your hair seems solid. Mine is similar but not as thick. You just want that extra security or?
