Ex-minoxidil users come in

Questions to all ex-minoxidil users.

When stopped using minoxidil, did you regain hair after the shed following stopping of minoxidil? Did you maintain any hair gained on the minoxidil treatment? Did you start using another growth stimulant, if yes, which one? How was this in comparison to minoxidil?

Did any of you regret stopping minoxidil? I'm trying to find some answers as I want to quit minoxidil and look alternative for it.

Have a look at my log, and a thread I opened in this forum yesterday.

I had been using minoxidil since end of 2009 until about August 2010 (maybe slightly later). I have also been using finasteride since the beginning of 2010 and still am

When I gave up minoxidil, I had been maintaining. But I didn't want to be using both minoxidil AND finasteride for the rest of my life, so I wanted to find out which was working.

But in the last couple months I've lost a good bit of hair, which I'm attributing at least partly to giving up minoxidil.

I'm back on it again, and am hoping to get back to where I was a year and a half ago.
