Do you still use 0.6mg / day ? I've been on 0.5mg / day for last 3 months. I think I've got a bit regrowth on temples but I haven't got too much density back at the hairline. I'm thinking to up my dose to 1mg at September.

Why should he start Propecia when he's responding this well to minoxidil?

If he did have sides on Propecia and had to stop he would most likely shed big time.

I agree - with the success he's had no reason to start propecia

What do you two mean? He writes that he takes Fincar. As i know, that is finasteride as well as Propecia.

Of course he should not take them both, because it's nearly the same thing.

How are we all!

Wow I started this journey in 2007! Madness.

Anyway an update for you all! I am now completely bald. Over the space of one week all my hair fell out

Just kidding!

Still going strong. I do tend to check on google from time to time of any finasteride news or new studies. I've been taking 1mg EOD now for a few years and Minoz foam EOD same time. Occasionally nizoral.

But my god, if I was thinking about taking finasteride now in 2019 there is no way I would, the scaremongering and horror stories are insane. People are f*****g nuts man. The mind is a powerful thing, I'm glad I didn't read any horror stories before starting my regime.

I read that finasteride would grow my hair back and minoxidil too! And guess what! It did. No side effects, (except nut ache for the first week)

12 years nearly now I've been on, in that time Ive regrown my once thinning crown, fathered 2 children, life is great. Don't believe the bullshit lads because there must be 100's of thousands of people like me getting on with their lives and not spending time on hairloss forums.

The only people coming here are
A - Balding people
B - Mentally unstable people who think blocking some DHT has caused their world to collapse.

Placebo is a strong strong thing.

Coincidently this year my brother in law got diagnosed with severe depression after having suicidal thoughts, hes got a mop top John, Paul, George and Ringo would be proud off. Nothing to to with finasteride obvs he's never touched it. doesn't have to.

The point being finasteride is getting alot of flak unfairly imo, for things that would happen anyway.

No idea if this will last forever or if I'll start thinning again, but if/when I do I don't care even half as much as I did when I was 21. (I'm now 33)

It's not as important as it once was to me.

Peace out fellas. Chill the f*** out, live a healthy life, go the gym, get some exercise daily, regrow some hair and get on with your life.

Excellent post. Really happy for you. Hair is looking brilliant and this is a fitting testament into the long term effectiveness of finasteride in good responders.

I can’t emphasise this enough. I feel sorry for the guys who have been put off taking finasteride or at least giving it a try. It’s a real shame. You can see how toxic these forums have become towards anyone who takes finasteride.

Thanks for update, Your children are daughters? or boys? cause there are some facts that on dutasteride/finasteride-->frequently girls born
look on famous hairloosers-> Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher and so on. all have daughters....
