Either this is bullshit or it's just another cope, a poor one that would likely falter if you were terminal. Even people in severe depression fear death.

I am surprised as logical as you are that it needs to be further explained. Everyone fears death. People kill themselves when the pain that they are experiencing overcomes their fear of death.

Interesting philosophy I always wondered why anyone would want to join the army. I couldn't imagine the horror of stepping off the boat on D-day storming the beach and getting shot at while trying to avoid landmines. Almost no skill just luck whether you live or not - crazy stuff.

Man it's easy to forget about the absolutely horrific sh*t some people deal with. And the dude is presented as having a positive attitude

I was going to cook for her. It works because I told her I'm excited to finally have furniture -- the f*****g moving company is 3 months late in bringing my stuff over.

I can also prove to her I'm listening by including some of the random meal items she's said she liked -- wine, very chocolatey dessert, Arab food..

Women seem to be impressed of a man listens to do much as one word they say. What I think this means is that they go out with a lot of Chad's who don't listen to a word they say and then f*** them. The other guys are awkward nerds who have never been on a date before and are too mesmerized to listen to anything.

I don't know really. But I've gotten "oh you were listening!" a few times in my life and it's a very weird compliment.
