Zac Efron is 5'8 and I'm sure any woman 5'6 or under wouldn't really care. He's stunning and has an almost perfect physique - women flock to him.

(note: I'm 6ft and have no reason to defend small people)

Fair enough, but that isn't all women.

You stated you like athletic men - perhaps you like tall and strong men because you like to feel protected (just a guess!)

Did you read the comments on the facebook picture of Taylor Lautner? He's 5'8.5

"He's so little! What the heck! Hahaha"

"His height completely killed it.. wow this is kinda sad"

Absolutely brutal.

... That's brutal and pretty crazy!

I myself like tall men (like very tall), though if I was to meet a pleasant not so tall guy I would not hesitate to present him to my family!

Which is why I don't like being 1.81 meters (5'11).

I think benefits start at 1.85 meters. Both in terms of how women treat a man, and in terms of how other men treat a man.

All the girls who left me during my bald period left me for an equally tall (or even taller) fullhead, no exception.

tall even makes a difference in the attractiveness of older men.

i think the older a man gets who is short the harder it is for him to maintain his sex appeal

taller slim men look better older

I suspect that most woman will feel like they're compromising and settling, if they're with a man who is not substantially taller than she is.

i dont know if its settling or that deep if you like someone but i think if tall you have more opportunities, get into more search criteria on dating site, you are make more an impression in bars and clubs.

I honestly don't notice anything about my height, then again I'm oblivious to my surroundings and I don't know if its that much of a deal breaker with women? I ALWAYS see short men with very pretty women and sometimes they are taller than the men.

@hairblues im pretty sure you would be the only women in population of women to think I'm hotter than zac Efron.. but nonetheless.

Thank you you are sweet.

there is a wow factor with height..
I feel like even for myself as a woman when i wear six inch shoes and i go out to a crowded place its like people part for you and check you out more.
I remember i went to go meet this guy on a date and i was wearing shoes like that and he went 'wow' as he saw me coming from doorway..Im not more or less attractive then a smaller woman but i think its like you can make an entrance.

My friend is petite i think she is like 5'4 and small frame a very beautiful girl and sexy men love her but i notice people dont move for her when we go out and shes not noticed right away compared to me and i think she is actually much prettier than me.

but i think for men its worse because men like petite women. some or even most prefer this.

Oh trust me, women care about height, and they care a lot. We tend to forget it as shorter men are all trying to cast a massive beacon of cope: "Look at Lionel Messi!" as one of my short friends would say.

Many times, the girls I've dated would mention this stellar-looking man they've been with, dreamy, great in bed, etc... "But he's short!" they would add, "So I could not keep on seeing him."

It's heartbreaking for the shorter guys out there but that's how it is these days. My girlfriend said the guy she dated before me wasn't too bad, but he was short so she could never have introduced him to her family.

Of course some women won't care, just like some women won't care about baldness, but it's a disadvantage you don't want to have.

I wouldn't be aware of my advantage if it wasn't for these forums. I'm getting more and more muscular and at 6'3, I'll be on a whole other level than these short guys who are ultimately seen as overcompensating, I'm glad that thought will never cross anyone's mind about me (still a bit worried about being see as overcompensating for my lack of hair though).

Being tall is so powerful that it was the main reason I didn't become incel when I was bald.

I'm towering over my girlfriend and like almost all the girls I've dated (except the ones who were 6'), she loves that feeling.

I recently met the best female friend of my girlfriend: cute slim Polish girl. Her boyfriend? Plain ugly, slightly deformed face, beady eyes that were magnified by his huge glasses. His only redeeming qualities? 6'2 and a slightly toned body.

Height theory confirmed indeed.
Honest question:

Would you rather be a nw1 at 5'9 or stay at 6'3 in with your current hair?

A while back I was on a date with a very beautiful woman (I'm not sure why she agreed to meet me). I got to know her off pof. She is 1.77 cm tall, and she works as a social workers. She's intellectual, a feminist, etc.

She came to the restaurant late, so she had only seen me sitting down.

The date was going well, we were laughing, enjoying our food, asking each other questions, a lot of buildup in conversation, etc. At one point she randomly exclaims: "you're taller than me right ?!?!?!"

I think it's obvious what that was. The date was going well and thus she was worried it would all be a waste if I wasn't tall, which must be a common problem for her at 1.77 cm. As it turns her body language did change when I stood up, as I was only 4cm taller than her.

That's the reality.
