Finasteride and human growth.

Finasteride is limited to those ages 18 and over.
Could someone tell me what the reasoning behind this is?

Is there some chance Finasteride could interfere with the natural growth/development of humans. One of the listed side effects of propecia is slight testicular shrinkage. Could this interfere with the growth of me, for lack of a better word, gonads? Like, could my testes go from a B cup to, say, an A cup?

Also, Finasteride shrinks your prostate to a degree. Is there some chance this could cause damage, such as urinary blockage?

Thanks for your help, and sorry, you can't feel my A cups. Except you, Gardener.

DHT is necessary for development of secondary sexual traits (deeper voice, beard etc.)

DHT is necessary for development in childhood/adolescence, without it the body would become malformed in many ways; it could irreparably change the quality of the rest of your adult life. And testosterone is necessary for maintenance in later life, without it the body would start to break down.

So would you guys say I should stay away from Finasteride for a few more years?

I mean, I think I don't think I'm done growing. I'm one of those late bloomers. I'm 19, no facial hair, 5'10, 130 pounds (skinny, etc).
My voice is pretty deep considering my size. But still, I feel I might grow a bit more. Do you guys think I should go on finasteride, or not?

*bump*

I feel its an important topic, since we seem to have so many younger folks on the forum now. Including me.

I presume you haven't discussed this with your physician..but if you have, what did he/she say?

If you haven't, do it.
