Yea, man, ive been on it for 9 days, only 0.5mg not even 1mg. So far only that and probably slightly watery sperm. Im gona see how it goes next days, mb it was connected with something else.
I know many people find the possibility of finasteride altering your voice as not plausible but considering that a surge of hormone in puberty leads to deepening voice in males, altering you hormone profile could - in theory - alter one's voices, right?

yeah, ive read singers who were on propecia said it affected their range, also bunch of people wrote about this same side effect of dryness, discomfort in your throat and having to 'clear your voice' type of thing. its kinda weird thing. gotta see.

Does anyone else have this? I did find one other person who experienced the same thing as they are a singer on Propecia, and noticed their voice just went much worse while on the drug. I mean, people have to understand that if you are changing hormonal levels of DHT and inhibiting 5ar, I'm sure one or both of those affects the male voice box, which probably matures and is possibly maintained by the adolescence-focused male hormone.

But yeah, back when I was on finasteride more, I was just walking along, chatting to a friend, and my voice just DIED lol, I had to have a drink and stuff to make it ok again lol

And recently it's been steadily better, still weak if I am singing along with something or whatever for a prolonged period. But then I went back on finasteride again and BANG, my voice turns to total crap. I lost it totally randomly while chatting to someone from my back on the phone (well, I say lost, but it just went really weak and I had to swallow a couple of times lol). And it's just more hoarsey and generally poorer.

But yeah, before I kept telling myself I was imagining it, but now I am pretty much 100% convinced it was the finasteride. Ever in town I kept feeling it getting weak when talking to people.

I really don't think my body likes finasteride very much at all :(
Hi Hopi - thanks for posting this. I am a vocal major and trained in Opera and I have been on Propecia now for about 4 months. I lost the upper range of my voice and sometimes my voice cracks while speaking. I stopped taking Propecia yesterday. Thanks for your post. I thought I was the only one experiencing this

so you lose your voice and you don't go to the dr? Really? How are you associating it with finasteride?

Maybe you need to explain yourself better
Your comments are always sarcastic and nasty. Not sure why you are even on the site if all you want to do is argue with people. YES IT IS TRUE...People do lose their voice on Propecia. I studied voice and sing Opera so I am extremely knowledgeable about the voice. For you to discredit others comments about this is both rude and absurd. This site is for SUPPORT no to tear people down.

I have legit experienced this. I didn’t even come looking for this post. I am currently trying to crack this problem. But the issue is clear. It’s related to muscle.

Your voice is controlled by a muscle. The muscle is the problem.

I am almost 1000% confident the issue is related to myopathy. I am 9 months on finasteride today and my strength is shot. I can’t barely lift for more than 30 mins.

I am currently trying to figure out how finasteride causes a reduction In pregnelone. I believe it may be the stAR enzyme is downregulated somehow. It is responsible for shuttling cholesterol into the cell and then the mitochondria uses it to produce cholesterol through another enzyme.
