Finasteride question about the 6 month mark

Hi i have a question, my trichologist in november 6th tell me to take finasteride 1 mg twice a week + saw palmetto every day. In 24 february i decide to take finasteride 1 mg ed and stop saw palmetto. Now my question is that i've read that for say if there is a result we must wait almost 6 month. NOW MY QUESTION is i must see my result at 6 month since the 6th november when i started to take finasteride 1 mg twice a week so the 6 month mark is 6 may, or when i started 1 mg ed so the 6 month mark is 24 august? Or i must take as 6 month mark somewhere in the middle? Ty for the response

Yeah the last you say, in substance i've take 1 mg twice a week since 6 november but at 24 february i begin to take it daily, so my sixth month mark is 6 may ( few day ago) or 24 august? Or a date that is in the middle?

I see, results really do vary and the guidelines given to see results is not that straightforward however a daily dose will be more effective than 2 x weekly.

Ty, very much do you know more or less how much effectiveness have( not in specifica case but in the major of people) 2 x weekly compare to 1 mg ed( 50%,70%,80%)?

Your "estimated" timeframe is from the point you began taking 1mg finasteride everyday.

Is because he say that because i have a good situation and sometimes i have anxiety so he say that he told me this because he was afraid that on a psychological level it could make me think that I could have a collateral effect

The efficacy of twice weekly is very low. Everyday is much better (1mg). Count your results from the time you started taking 1mg each day - so august. Really for many results dont appear for a whole year. Some even keep going up until 5 years in rare cases.

no one can say and it would depend on each person. In my own experience I can say that on 0.5mg each day I continued to lose hair, however on 1mg daily my hair regrew. The difference in dose you’re talking about can be very significant

Sorry but this sound strange, from the graphs that all post 0.5 is not nearly equal to 1 mg? how is it possible that you had a regrowth and in the other case the fall did not stop, does it mean that the dht inhibition graph is useless?

the DHT inhibition graph refers to serum DHT. In reality the way finasteride reduces 5ar in specific tissue types like hair follicles is actually pretty linear.

Yeah i see that is serum dht, but other merk study say that 0.2 ed is like 80% of 1 mg ed ( the graph have hair count) so are you sure about the linear relation(it's not an attack it's just to understand )? however i'm little confuse because so many claim that work almost the same other no, other say that finasteride real half life is like 7-14 days so you can take eod - mwf and is the same, other say to take it ed because halfilife is 8-9 hour

Oh ty for the information but for this reason dht begin to return to baseline after 72 hours or at passed 72 hour is already return on baseline? but for the main question so you mean is the 6 may?

Right so you want to change again? Drug working? Try every other day will work fine.
