You also realize that sitting through presentations, recording them, chasing down interviews, etc is tiresome as well right? Not to mention that is the busy work while there, then more tedious work is waiting at home as he compiles it, and uploads it. I mean here's a guy that offers to do what not many are willing to do, and we have nameless making a show about how nobody should donate to him, and you saying he's not intellectually adequate enough. I think everyone here respects what hellouser is offering to do whether they think he'll come back with a kings ransom worth of info or not! It's still a kind gesture regardless!

Well while it's not quite dicking around in terms of scientists not trying, it is dicking around in an unintentional manner. By this I mean that research for hair loss is underfunded, so this leads to scientists looking like they are taking their sweet time.

In other words, it IS dicking around, but there's a good reason for it, not really the scientists fault. It's the government's fault for not taking hair loss seriously, by funding it more. Hair loss is getting dicked around by budget.

(I used "dicking" a little too much for my liking, sorry)

My argument is credible; Christian's argument is not credible. My argument does NOT insult Hellouser; Christian's argument DOES insult Hellouser.

My argument is that guys like YOU won't contribute your own money to the Congress trip because you're mooches who want other posters to pay the expenses. You want to receive the Congres information but you're unwilling to donate to the cause. You want other posters to donate to the cause but not yourself. You intention is to mooch off the contributors. I'm not insulting Hellouser at all and my point is actually correct.

OTOH Christian's argument is that Hellouser is unable to do the job because Hellouser is intellectually inferior. This is very insultng to Hellouser. And Hellouser is well informed and intelligent so Christian's argument is incorrect.

Hellouser has already established a relationship with most of the researchers, and he's already shown that he can be relied on to be professional. Cotsarelis likely won't talk to anyone, so forget about him. A journalist doesn't have to be an expert on the subject on which he's conducting an interview. Hellouser knows more than enough about the research to be able to ask the relevant questions to get the answers that we are seeking. I think he is the best available choice, and I appreciate that he's willing to take the time to do all this. Sure he'll get a free trip to Japan out of it, but he won't really have the time to enjoy it. Personally I think he should take a couple extra days there to enjoy himself.

By the same token the LIKE button should also be disenfranchised because some posters use it to attack other posters by liking posts that attack another poster.

For example, one poster can post a ban-worthy attack against another poster and then any other poster can join in that ban-worthy attack without getting banned by simply liking the original posters ban-worthy attack post. In this manner the like button allows dishonorable posters to camoflauge their ban-worthy attacks.

If a poster wants to make a ban-worthy attack he/she should have to do so openly rather than getting away with stealth attacks by cowardly liking other posters attack posts. The site shouldn't fascilitate cowardice.

Nope, it's not.
A) There are more qualified posters who could take up the whole task, and presumably deliver better.
B) Not contributing means you don't get to have access to what we might get from the conference.
Nameless just called out those posters who act like they are f*****g dope and into this forum, but haven't yet contributed a single penny to this common cause.
