Four years of dutasteride/finasteride...update

Ugh - explain why after posting so many stories about how you have no libido, you are asking questions about dosages of finasteride. Explain why you posted that your libido was fine 1 month, and then the next month you posted that your libido had been gone for 7 months.

You have answered 0.00 of our questions. You just seem like a guy that's only out there to scare people away because "drugs are bad".

Everybody's body and chemistry is different. He just had a bad run that in part could be a number of things besides just the medications.

Whats your medical history?
Whats you psycholigical history?
Did you get checked out before hand?
Did you take any measures to stop or cut back when you noticed things where going wrong?

etc...

Listen to your body when shits going wrong. One treatment may work for some but not for others. People just don't use common sense and push on and get serious problems. If you take the pills you take the risk.

hey ugh things will be ok, just find a doctor that believes you and get treated. Supposedly finasteride drops your DHT so your body steps up Testosterone, once your body adjusts to reduced DHT your testosterone will drop back down. When you quit finasteride your DHT comes back, but your testosterone dosent, you end up with near normal DHT, low testosterone, and higher estrogen. Fertility drugs like clomid are what weight lifters use to restart their testosterone production. Find a Doctor and get readjusted. Im going though something similar but nearly as bad. I used 6-oxo for a few days and noticed more sex drive, alittle acne, better erections. good luck.

Im in a similar boat. I think dutasteride did me in too. Anyways, Im gonna try the post cycle therapy suggested.

Have you tried drugs like v**** to allow you to have sex? I find it hard to believe doctors would be so unsympathetic to your plight - and I've seen some pretty crap doctors!

About whether it was dutasteride that caused it.... I don't know what to believe, but I do think you're in the minority....not that that is much of consolation for you. Have you been checked for diabetes? Iimpotence is often one of its first signs.
