I don't doubt that some perceive as a shed what is actually the continuation of male pattern baldness, but then I've also read more than a handful of posts wherein people talk of "it" having got worse (due to shedding) before subsequently improving. My own shed, because that's what it was, started after five or six months on dutasteride and continued for about two. The effect was quite clear on my crown where a (thankfully small) bald-spot re-appeared, before gradually melting away as my coverage returned first to its pre-shed level and then beyond.

I'm fearing a Dutasteride shed.

Anyone who has posted of the dutasteride shed has said that it is awful-- and that recovery took a long time.

But, there are many users who just neve shed on dutasteride, too.

I have only been on it about 9 weeks and no shed yet... knock on wood.
