We all have to worry about maintaining.

At 12 months, 58% of men in the placebo group had further hair loss (defined as any decrease in hair count from baseline), compared with 14% of men treated with PROPECIA. In men treated for up to 2 years, 72% of men in the placebo group demonstrated hair loss, compared with 17% of men treated with PROPECIA. At 5 years, 100% of men in the placebo group demonstrated hair loss, compared with 35% of men treated with PROPECIA.

Instead of trying to push your hair completely off your forehead, you should push your hair forward on the sides around the temples, then push the hair up in the middle. It adds weight to the temple region making it look like you got s-hit loads of hair there. I use this style a lot, it conceals the temples well.

Kiel, I cannot see your photos to determine if your grape big chew is making your hair thicker. Your before hair thinning photo shows up but the other photos from your photo shoot are just question marks. Please repost those photos so I can give you my honest opinion.

I completely agree with this. If you styled your hair a bit differently it would help hid your slightly receded temples and make it look a lot thicker in my opinion. Also, have you ever considered using just a tidy bit of Dermmatch right behind the hairline to give your hair a bit more density? I'm aware you're using topical treatments, which certainly makes applying Dermmatch more of a hassle, yet it might tide you over while your pondering surgery.

Personally, I'm all for the idea of a hair transplant to the hairline/temple region. When (if) a HM protocol eventually becomes available in five years or so, in order to control the direction the hair cell grows in at the hairline it will still need to be recreated by a skilled surgeon anyway. So, if you ever have plans of making it back to a NW1 then surgery in that area is essentially unavoidable.

Oh, and I got the comb fine. Thanks again.

One more thing I wanted to add... you look very uncomfortable in your photos. Almost as if you forgot to take your anti-depressant medication or something (just kidding!). Seriously though, if you just put a huge smile on your face and looked like your were having the time of your life that certainly would draw some serious attention away from any hair shortcomings you feel you may have.

lol... yeah we were trying to be serious in alot of shots because the majority of the money will be donated to charity and we're trying to make it a cause.

I think I'm gonna get some 15% minoxidil to add to my temples. I've been going through a horrible shed this past month. 2 months ago my hair was looking pretty great. I just want this damn shed to end.

I've actually considered trying the very same thing. I respond well to minoxidal and was thinking that the 15% could possibly, maybe give me some more growth in that area. I'm bit suspicious of his concoctions though...

(I recently tried his 2%/5% spironolactone solutions and experienced practically every side-effect listed. Vomiting, incapacitating dizziness, intense tingling sensation on the scalp, etc. Not only did these effects last for almost three days from just one application, but there was a subsequent harvest of all of the fine, non-terminal hairs I was regrowing with minoxidil! Yikes!)

On a side note, I remember Dr. Alan Feller mentioning that he doesn't prescribe minoxidil above the 5% level because the increase in hair growth is absolutely negliable when compared to the increase in side-effects.

Good Luck.

funny you should say that. His spironolactone does the exact same thing to me. I get dizzy, my chest hurts instantly, I lose sensitivity. Only the cream does this to me and I emailed him and he said that I was crazy. : (

I can't believe you were able to stick it out on the cream then. Treating hairloss is one thing. Having treatment severely impact one's day to day functioning is something else, IMO.

Well I stopped the cream and am only using the Liquid spironolactone 2% which does give me sides
