Gradually Thinning Hair: Normal Because Of Manbun Or Balding?

Hello! I’ve recently cut my hair so I could side-part it, however in the last two years I had it quite long.

Or at least long enough for a manbun. Since summer last year I began observing that my hair is gradually thinning on one side only.

My father is almost 50 and is going bald, many males in my family are bald. I’m only 19, almost 20. I know there’s a great chance of going bald at some point, but I wish it doesn’t happen so early.

Am I at risk or just paranoic?

I would just keep an eye on it. Take pictures every month, if you see more recession start on medication. But if I were you I wouldnt worry.

Thanks for the reply! I’ll try to take photos from now on to see how it develops.
