i hope you are right gi joey .
And yeah for sure 2,5 mg of duta is better than fina . But this dose is too heavy.
And when i started propecia , i din't even want to improve , or regrown hair . I just wantd to maitain . but unfortunately i fall in the few % who " moderately decrease "
So, Should I take dutasteride .5mg & finasteride 1mg
OR
dutasteride 2.5?...dutasteride seems to be the one that will help the temples & crown correct?

im on big 3 since almost 1 year, my hair looks a lot much thicker , especially the middle and crown vertex, but the hairline and temples doesnt improved to much,, and they are slowly continue thinning.

i haven't any side with finas, so time for duta.

Thx for posting the study Michel !

Im actually thankful that there is the option to escalate my regimen even more with duta in the future.

Sad to hear that you are losing ground, but the more I read the more i have the feeling that almost everyone can win the fight if he doesn't get sides.

Bonne chance!

So wait...

Is this implying that I likely wont be able to keep a NW2 hairline if I start 1.25 finasteride? I need to get on duta?

Perhaps, maybe, people don't like the idea of having to undergo surgery unless life threatening or absolutely necessary?

moreover if the cause of your gyno is an 5 ar inhibitor like duta and fina , even if you remove the gland , it will come back . Because the surgeon doesnt extract the whole gland ( or it produce carved nipple ) .

I've consulted surgeons about getting the surgery done. I'm usually quoted at $4000-9000. It's extremely expensive and the chance for a cosmetically unappealing result is there. Plus you can't work out and wear a huge chest bandage for a while. I've been on anti-estrogens for about 9 months and my lumps continue to get smaller. They've gone from ping-pong ball sized to pea-sized. Lots of side effects from that, but fewer sides than I ever got from propecia and it's only cost me around $200 total.

Does anyone know the success rate of Dutasteride in the studies of stopping hair loss? With finasteride it's between 82% and 87%, but I could never find any % for Dutasteride.

aijbrah, i read in one of your older post that you develop gyno after 3 week on finasteride ?

Yes, I did. Total mass was about the size of a flattened ping-pong ball and it became fibrotic five months later, even though I immediately attacked it with letrozole (did not taper off so it just came back). Currently using powdered tamoxifen and liquid exemestane mixed with lotion as a topical, and the results from this seem to be better than the orals. You also don't need to use nearly as much medication for better results. Currently about the size of a flattened raisin, which still causes the nipple to poke out a little, but it's basically not visible with my shirt off.
