I just ate some of the powder straight. It is real. tastes like dehydrated grean tea. wow, it tastes strong. i could handle it a few seconds and then i had to drink some water. I can't imagine the stuff stinking. maybe it has to be in a liquid and sprayed out? Maybe it stinks in minoxdil? I'm not going to put mine in minoxidil. I'll put it in PG and water for now.

If AHK and GHK must be at low concentrations, i wonder if SOD needs a very low concentration too. I hope it is safe to put SOD on my skin. I have no idea how they could isolate it. It must be a dilute mixture. if they boil it to get rid of the water, it will denature.

Did you have any sensations by applying it to your scalp ?
isnt tingling..a sign that its doing something ? (hopefully good)
I guess applying 2 ml with a dropper is not a big deal...once a day....not sure if it covers all the scalp though maybe 75%...

I dont know if i should still use spironolactone on my hairline...since GTE and spironolactone do the same job...

put the GTE on one side and the spironolactone on the other and see. I'm sure if the GTE does any harm, red skin will warn you.

as soon as you are convinced one side is better, use that treatment on both, man. I really hope the GTE works better, though I will adjust the dose to be sure, if the first dose does not work. it is free. my dutasteride will take care of my hair while I experiment.

got my GTE today. will be giving it a good and clean run as i've decided to stop finasteride for good. i ran out of finasteride and while i was waiting for my pills to arrive from tuvalu or wherever inhousepharmacy ships from... and after a week of no finasteride, i feel like someone turned up the brightness on the world a few notches. it's been so dramatic, i don't think i can go back.

in any case, gte will be my only dht inhibitor for the time being.

Hoo boy. It doesn't smell *bad*, but it does smell like something.
For my first batch, I've tried

4oz. water
1oz propylene glycol
2 teaspoons green tea extract
1/8 teaspoon BHT.

That seems to be close to the saturation point of the liquid, because I'm still seeing GTE down at the bottom of the bottle.

But I really have no idea how much of this to mix together... and certainly no idea of how much to put on my head once it's mixed! Any ideas, anyone?

wat do u guys think of this its a finesteride and green tea extract lotion http://www.genhair.com/store/product_in ... 8276e65878

I think its cheaper to buy fincar and buy green tea extract and make a spray or a lotion....

CCS: question.....if I was to buy fincar and crash it and mix with GTE in 100% water solution .. would that work or finasteride is not water soulable?
Is finasteride even effective topically ?

finasteride is not soluble in water. mix 5-10% octyl salicylate into water/ethanol/propylene glycol for your topical finasteride, though extract the finasteride with just the ethanol before mixing it up, so the filler settles faster. Yes, it is effective. 20% water, 50% ethanol, 20% PG, 10% octyl salicylate is the best I've heard of, though I'd add some DMSO too, like 3%. I believe in using a mixture of penetration enhancers.
--------------------------------
Guy with the GTE:
the GTE will probably not block all the androgen activity. Add Apple poly to the mix to stop some of what happens after DHT bonds to the receptor. Your mix sounds good, though I prefer to add other penetration enhancers. For a water soluble med, octyl salicylate won't work, or at least won't be that soluble. I'd add some ethanol in there, though not a lot. for a total of 5 oz (300g of liquid) I'd use 15g of powder tops. I suspect the powder is 2g per mL. I think there are 5mL in a tea spoon. So I'd do one 1 tea spoon (flat) of GTE and 2-3 500mg apple poly capsules in the 5 oz. Just what I'd do. Please let us know how it feels or if it cakes much.

The problem with being right at the saturation point is that when you put it on your head and it first starts to evaporate, some will precipitate out of solution into the solid form, which does not enter pores and may block then. I think you should be at 1/2 the saturation point instead.

do u think that topical finasterine would cause a shed and do u think it would be more effective than topical spironolactone

CCS, any thoughts on whether this idea with GTE might work, albeit less effectively than your suggested mix with ethanol, etc?

"Mix GTE with warm water to dissolve the powder, pour it over the scalp. Let it settle for awhile before showering."

Thought this might be easier for those who do not have the expertise to make the proposed mixture.

Thanks
