With respect, you sound very unbalanced lately, h.l.

I know that you'd only say this with a sense of constructiveness, and you aren't wrong. A few months ago a lot of things made my life a bit of a car crash, and I intentionally became quite reclusive. I think there were a lot of things I need to tackle as a person, and really own up to myself, and I can see that plenty of people do not do this and end up infinitely sad with themselves and their surroundings. This is not an easy thing to do and will indeed leave you feeling up-and-down, as I have felt, but in ways I'm getting answers. This BDD over how I look is just another thing chipping at me that I'm trying to address, and I may be sick of thinking about it but at least I'm thinking about it.

I'm not in a dangerous place however, people around me don't know my troubles unless I tell them, and I do have people who would ask if they felt I seemed unstable. I'm just exploring thoughts, sometimes frustrating ones, and I'm enjoying venting on here about it (even if this seems a strange sense of "enjoyment" when reading such words).

With respect, not too many people can stay mentally balanced in this world. Narcism, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts are rising more than ever.

Indeed, one of the things that got to me lately wasn't just the breakdown of my own relationships (including a friendship) but seeing friends marriages break down, relationships, seeing so many people cheat on their partners when they claim to be happy with them. Never mind trying to make yourself balanced, trying to avoid other imbalanced people is the other major half of the battle. Ultimately it's beginning to seem that a happy, fulfilled, long term relationship is very rare, and on some level I've always known this which is why I normally f*** things up before it gets too serious. A defence mechanism really.

I've been in a worse state before, a long time ago, and that had nothing to do with BDD or hair loss, just embracing the sense of nihilism that we're all feeling but afraid to tackle.

I think some people just constantly have a need to feel like they're continuing to move, and any type of movement or change is progression, I don't think everyone is capable of being fully content and I'm one of those people.

You nailed it when you said trying to avoid other imbalanced people as being the major battle. Too much negativity in this world. In my profession, I can conclude after all these years that women express their negativity openly more than men do.

I think people have forgotten what an incel is. These are incels:

Yeah I don't think the first guy could be used as an example of an incel.

thick eyebrows really are important; they help define the face in absence of hair or with a buzz cut.
i think most women consider a short buzzcut (not bald) a stylistic choice and i believe them when they say they like it, especially with stubble to go along with it. However, the truth is they eventually grow tired of it and move on... it is not a sustainable appearance in my opinion

Seriously, when are you going to do your bald photoshop Thursday threads again?

They were f*****g great!

didn't think anyone cared to be honest. ben really busy with work and stuff so haven't been able to be in the forum so much but kind of miss the photoshopping days...

What do you mean? I care about it!

People should learn to laugh at themselves. In fact, I WANT people to humiliate me
for my triangle as my hairline.

Who needs to work and pay bills?

Tell your boss to f*** OFF!! You will feel so much better if you do.

That will give you more time to do what you were meant to do. Help hairloss sufferers
to laugh at themselves!
