@JeanLucBB what motivated you to invest in Domino's pizza?

Mainly using ratio analysis and basic balance sheet evaluation + estimations on potential growth based on the market + international opportunity, organic growth potential and potential of tech to improve margins. At the time it had a very strong GPE ratio, lack of long term debt and aggressive acquisition and roll-out strategy.

Isn't this public information?

Yes. No one believes in the efficient market hypothesis anymore and its disprovable from every angle if that's what you're alluding to though (even if unknowingly).

You'd be surprised at how many companies tank after someone spots an accounting error 4 months after a major interim or full year report is released. Public information doesn't mean it's easy to interpret data or use it to predict prices or that everyone will think the same way.

I didn't know that the EMH had fallen out of favour, I thought that it was only rejected by leftists like Stiglitz.

Great detective work though !

How long is the current Bitcoin plateau expected to last?

Yo, where is the best place to buy XRP? It's not on coinbase yet. How will this work as far as transferring it to a wallet?

Never mind, gonna try bitstamp. Gonna hop on this while it's cheap. Hope it doesn't take too long to get verified.

So I guess I just hold on to LTC and feel stupid watching my money helplessly go down.

The reality of this ain't fun at all.

If you guys had stuck with the coins I picked you'd be doing fine... Sorry to hear about your losses brehbrah

I went back to LTC and got profit, what else did you pick?

I didn't read a lot of the longer posts because it was over my head.

Right now I'm only on coinbase, where can I go to buy a broader variety of coins? I wanted to purchase ripple a few weeks ago, but I could not.

Someone mentioned bitstamp in another thread which I'm going to look at now.

lol someone's going to screencap these posts for experienced traders to laugh at noobs.

Well LTC has come back on track and BTC too (my only 2 investments) so I'm feeling less dumb. I need to chill my sh*t.

I have very briefly, I did a few weeks ago (poker slots) and took like 10 goes (which cost a quid) and that was it, just bored at a pub, but that was the first time in many years and I don't recall if I ever have used fruit machines/random chance ones, why do you ask?

Coinbase is pretty ridiculous how you can't f*****g deposit money. 2 to 5 business days?! How come any other transaction you make these days is instantaneous, maybe a small fee but usually not.

It's like "I am trying to give you my damn money! What the hell?!"

For me, the purchases on coinbase are instantaneous.

God bless America.

Down with Ireland.

As for you, I asked out of curiosity to see if you have a compulsive money shift obsessive problem, but I guess not. Either that or it's different kinds of stimulus.

Lol I assumed it was something of that nature, but I did answer honestly. I may have that sort of tendency but it's probably fairly healthy. I mean f***, I have a friend who's notoriously stingey/frugal and when he had a look at my BTC graph he was like freaking out about how even going down 1% would kill him, even if he's in profit by 20% he'd constantly want to cash out at the first sign. And I believe him on that, also that he'd watch it every minute, non stop.

I guess my disappointment at losing on the stock market is more down to needing control over something and obviously we can only throw it on and hope for the best. Of course if I had known this would be an important time for trading this year I could have done more work on researching it, but it's too late as all the action is happening now and I can just take a punt.

When I succeed from luck (and as I don't know what I'm doing with cryptos I consider this all either good or bad luck) it's not really an achievement in my mind, but if I fail I still feel stupid for trying to be something I'm not.

Check this out: https://ripple.com/xrp/buy-xrp/

Trials begin with some banks to test out the ripple tech:

There are rumors of XRP going on coinbase. That'd be interesting to see how that would effect its price. I think that newbies would see how low it is and buy it, how that would effect the price I'm not sure.

Try not even being able to be verified for a week now. I was ready top buy when bitcoin dipped to 14k before the futures conference. Now it's nearly 18k and I still have no way of buying.

If you guys want to buy a wider variety of alt coins then you can use your Coinbase account to login to GDAX which is owned by Coinbase. Or you can sign up for another exchange like Bittrex which is a fairly large exchange and has a good variety. Some of the more oddball coins are traded on HitBTC so if you want you can sign up there; certainly riskier if you go with the experimental new coins but could pay off handsomely so I would recommend using a portion of your portfolio and going a little crazy there. For example, one of my favorite oddball coins is Aeternity, which has not launched yet but you can buy futures for it - I have seen 120% return on that coin which trades on HitBTC just in the last couple of days

Is bitstamp ok to use? Impossible for me to get on coinbase.

Haven't used bitstamp but Coinbase I believe is usually faster with verification, so other exchanges may take longer.

After making that post I tried yet again with Coinbase and after one failed attempt, it incredibly went through. Only took them a week :D
