I got butchered the last time. Any shorter was a buzz cut. It was just before a date too. Go figure.

It went great. I was distraught about the cut, I almost cancelled it.

Much of this is in our head. Yes, certain haircuts, style, head shape suit a person better than the next one. Confidence, charm, charisma, enthusiasm goes a long way boys.

They do I agree but don't underestimate the difference a good or bad hairstyle can make to your facial aesthetics and consequently when I look good I'm more confident, enthusiastic ect. Take a look at this guy below for example, an average joe you could say but look at he difference a good hair style makes.........

Problem is, most people here do not have big choices in hairstyles. What can you do with thinning hair and balding lol. This guy above has thick *** hair and Justin Biber hairline. Of course, he can style.
preach it, fam. before i receded past nw2, i had options with variety. now its just tryin to fraud with comb over and sh*t..

My last haircut was from a Norwood 1 same age guy. Was nice. Good thing I always drink 2 beers before so I don't care.
Actually that's something I've yet to try, a few beers before getting a hair cut.

I wonder if I could drink during my next hair cut? It doesn't hurt to ask them before hand.
Come to think of it, the liqueur store is only around the corner from where I get a trim.

Thanks.

I know what you mean but, true confidence is. Its not X factor or based upon your car. Clothes, looks, haircut. It just is.

Its obvious to play to the best of your ability. Best haircut, exercise, eat healthy. Play the hand you are dealt.

Again, charm, charisma, humor, enthusiasm, etc go a long way.

I sort of agree but in some ways as the op has proved when you're losing your hair it's even more important to get the right haircut. Even with badly thinning/receding hair you still have a choice ie you can have a comb over or shave it. I know what I'd chose if/when I get to that stage lol!

I know a mens hairdressers that actually offers you a beer while you're waiting. They do charge over £20 for a cut though.................

Just lol at going at a saloon past NW1.

I cut my hair myself for years. Short on the sides, scisors on top.

I wouldn't advise anyone cutting their own hair. It always ends up looking a little awkward.

If your hair isn't a sane NW1, it will always look awkard no matter how much you pay for a haircut, so might as well save that money for treatments.
