Anyone who says it's equally horrible to go bald in your teens-early 20's and 30+ has not gone bald in their teens-early 20's, period. The earlier you lose your hair, the worse your life will become. Of course there are exceptions and some people do take hair loss incredibly hard even after 30-40, but as a general rule - the younger the worse. Nobody wants to lose their hair no matter what age but losing it young is pure hell.

We could go on all day comparing how horrible it is for younger vs. Older or man or woman. The fact is it depends on the person but it is not true that it's worse for a woman. That's a whole nother ballgame but it's a victimization mentality the society thrust on any situation. I cannot imagine being for example 15 and a young man trying to deal with looking slick bald by the time they're 20. That's horrific. But on the other hand a young guy can shave his head or wear ball caps and lead a fairly normal life otherwise. And then the situation of a young woman. Yes it's true that she can put on a wig God so she has that Advantage but on the other hand she's looking at her whole feminine life going up in smoke right before her eyes. It's equally horrible for anybody
