you clearly have BDD. Your hair looks better now than it did in the 3 years ago picture. I saw your posts on your "hair loss" story thread. Your hair has improved. AND your in your 40s. Get off this forum and get treatment for your BDD.

Wait, what? He's in his 40's? He has a head of hair most people in their 20's would kill for. I think he needs to switch his dermatologist for a psychologist.

Bluecyclone. Have you had other symptoms? I had to get off finasteride due to hyper andro (hot flashes, massive sebum increase, increased sexual function ie perma boner, acne and MASSIVE shedding). I was told by both docs and this was totally not normal. I had to come off after 4 months.
Just wondering if you’re experience anything that makes you think that your body was having adverse reaction to the finasteride?

If finasteride or duta don't save you, I guess nothing will in the long run.

Guys I really wish this forum would stop being so focused on comparing who is in worse shape hair wise. I get that I’ve been crazy lucky. It sucks for everyone. What’s freaking me out is the speed and the constant shedding. Clear signs of miniaturized hair.

But the shedding would mess with anyone’s head. I fill a sink every morning, no joke.

I have been pushing through less problematic sides on topical Finasteride and there has been zero slow down.

Just trying to keep a conversation going on options ideas before it is too late.

Thoughts on PRP?
Viviscal Pro?

If topical Finasteride did nothing could stop topical Dutastride make things even worse?

I’d say the start of Minoxidil first topical for a month then oral (still taking) marked a big loss that hasn’t recovered.

I know there were some bad months last few years but overall the density was still there. I can’t even manage a lose pull back because the density is gone/flat. This is a pick from May 10 last year. What I notice most is temple thinning front to back.

I’m scheduled for a 2900.00 PRP with Bauman and I’m afraid it’s just a huge waste of money. Tempted to stop everything but too afraid.

Everyone warned me about prp not working but I wanted to try and make sure. Absolutely nothing. I’ve had more hair loss since doing in fact. But $2900 for one session!?
It depends how they extract the prp! Not all clinics are doing it correctly. Listen to Joe Tillman ( the bald truth) on YouTube. They cover all the questions and scams on the podcast

Maybe I'm blind but your hair looks great. I don't understand why you're taking so many things.

IMHO your actual hair loss is due to the meds are you using
Do you mean the hairloss meds? Or something else? I mean the long hair hides a lot but when I pull it back and look in a magnified mirror and it’s about 50/50 normal but thinner hair and short colorless hairs.

As far as PRP Bauman claims his PRP is good for 14 months. I am very skeptical about PRP, but as nothing including Finasteride has slowed things down I want to try what I can before it’s noticeable.

Is Joe Tilman legit these days? Seemed credible early on but appears to be pushing more product as of late. Can’t decide if the active ‘marketers’ ‘mentors’ are held to a higher standard therefore warranting the higher costs. Or if it’s all a marketing play.

I learned about Bauman on Dr. Atilla’s ‘Drive’ podcast. Seemed solid but still one big commercial.

I’m probably going to skip the PRP and put that to a hair transplant if needed.

Just left a dermatologist appointment Dr. Ibrahim at Chicago Cosmetic Dermatology. We looked side by side at October 2018 photos and today. The part is about the same but the height of the long hair shows a big loss of density. Also in the October photos I had no real temple thinning but it’s gone.

I know no one cares because I still have hair but I’m just trying to make good decisions. I’ve lost a ton of hair in under 3 years. I’ve been in on topical Finasteride October 2018-current, oral Minoxidil June 2017 to present. Eat healthy, etc. and nothing is slowing things down.

Going to try some cosmetic stuff to help the health if the long hair and tie it back until I have to cut it short.

Any thoughts on stopping the Finasteride? Oral Minoxidil and what to expect?

Of course NOW he's making money from the podcast. But I can't fault him for that. But if you listen and/or call into the show they discourage hair transplants and encourage shaving and be done and move on. And they also address the fear mongering and bro science
