propecia does not regrow dead hair(although it has helped me so much with my thining), neither does nizoral. im not using anything that isnt approved by the FDA for hairloss treatment, i'm speaking of just minoxidil

I think the best you can hope for on your hairline is to stop the receding and MAYBE get some slight "filling in" of the receding areas AT BEST.

The hairline is very fragile since the follicles arent surrounded by other hairs and follicular vessels. Its also the most prone to male pattern baldness and the most resistant to regrowth.

There will be a minor percentage of people that get moderate regrowth on the hairline, but they are the lucky responders.

My hairline has honestly done pretty much ZIP since I started. However, it hasnt worsened and I have had slight thickening on the crown and vertex. You can search for my pics if you wish, they are probably 20 pages back in the forums.

Correct. This is exactly what happened to me, even on the hairline. I had some thin, weak hairs that would only grow so long, and eventually Minoxidil/Finasteride stimulated them back to normal.

But yes, the parts that didn't have those tiny hairs have not grown back at all. Luckily on my head, that's barely noticeable.

If it were me, I would add spironolactone to the front hairline and be on the Big Three for 18 months and then go to the hair transplant MD>

Good luck.

PS what city do you live in?

I have been on minoxidil+nizoral for two months and I see some results. Existing hair became thicker and grows on the top of head as fast as hair on the other parts.

Vellous hair not pigmented yet but grows longer than before treatment. Now I am going to add finasteride + some topical DHT inhibitor.
So, I can confirm that minoxidil works!
