I know Kiel was using 1/2 a Propecia twice daily. I started doing this for several weeks now and I am shedding like crazy now. It is probably coincidence but it does make me kind of wonder if maybe it does have some positive effect. However, according to Rassman, he said it does not. I tried using half a Propecia once daily and after a while I noticed less shedding but my hair seemed to get thinner. I have not shed like this in along time. I am hoping this means thicker new hair is on the horizon.

I guess it takes about 1-3 months before you start a treatment until a new hair cycle starts. So if you are in that time zone this could be working for you. But aren't you into minoxidil and proxiphen to and have been mixing the use of these tropicals?

The DHT effect of finasteride seems to be a flat line for some days(1-2-3) and drops over time, but it could be that 1/2 pill two times a day just gets your body belove your sweet spot. I have a hard time believing there is a straight answer to this, but half a pill twice a day could probably suppress more DHT than 1/1 pill.

Hope the shed are a good sign, you deserve it! Is it around your thin spot?

I am still using Proxiphen and Revivogen and I never went off Propecia for the past 3 years. I have been on a full dose of Propecia now for the past 8 months. It was ONLY at the beginning of the year I cut to half a Propecia for a few months. I have only been experimenting with the twice a day half a Propecia for the past 3 weeks( after reading Kiel's post) and just this week I am shedding like mad. I just started with Virile Mane and the Java Lustre shampoo for about a week but I doubt that can cause a shed in just one week of starting. Java Lustre makes my hair look really thick but it is a very strange shampoo. Its basically watery and it does not lather but it makes a great conditioner too. When you rinse it off it kind of leaves your hair strange feeling( kind of oily) but then when you blow dry it, its amazingly thick. As a matter of fact it makes my hair thicker than Aveda Pure Abundance shampoo. Its smells good too and the Virile Mane smells so good that it makes me want to taste it to see if if tastes as good as it smells. Overall my hair is doing well but I just cannot seem to get the center front true widows peak to come back to baseline. This year I lost alot of hairs just in that isolated area and they were all thick terminal hairs. At least they should have come back thinner but they did not come back yet. I think the only thing now that can thicken it up back to what it used to be is going to be a transplant. However I am still hoping for the holy grail topical to bring it back since I just lost it this year.

Use the Proxiphen on just one side of your head. See if it is doing anything. If you start seeing a difference, go back to both sides. You could save money for a few months and learn something.
