The water does mix with the soap therefore leaving behind a residue.. same reason u get soap residue in tubs with hard water and not soft...
im speaking from first hand experience I grew up in hartford CT they have some of the best Water in the nation.. moved to the suburbs immeditely started experiencing hairloss, me and my brother as well, both with no prior history of hairloss

I wont lose this

I see. But it wouldn't cause complete loss of hair follicles, it would probably grow back once the hard water problem is solved. This guy probably had male pattern baldness, indeed. Wonder how he is doing nowadays.

no trust me it effects the scalp they hair wont grow back until you cure the scalp which is why i suggested microneedling and scalp massages

Completely agree with the hard water is bad theory, in particular the high calcium content. One potential solution is adding dead sea salt to bath water, it does contain trace minerals but the magnesium neutralises the calcium and its generally good for scalp and even gives 'volume' and texture to your current hair.

Hey people. I logged in after so many years. I tried like everything water filters, finasteride, multivitamins, oils, shampoos, minoxidil (still do) and their combinations and after all that i came across a thing called "acceptance" :D. It becomes easy when your friends and cousins with no balding history have also started going bald the difference was i started balding a little early. Over the years thinning has increased a lot specially on the top but thankfully the shape of my head is like that it doesn't look bad. I still use minoxidil that has helped me a little to retain some hair. I wont recommend finasteride because for me it is better to have a bald head than to live with sexual side effects. There are few points balding people should consider:

1. Don't allow balding process to decrease your self esteem and confidence rather use it to boost it
2. Don't think of it as something abnormal. it is normal for men to go bald at early stage of life
3. Look for a haircut that's suits your thinning and rock that style
4. It will become non-issue over time
5. Use combination of minoxidil, good keratin shampoo and multivitamin (optional i don't take it now it loses effectiveness over time and you have to change the brand)
6. Hard water, diet etc etc are excuses. Most of us with with pattern baldness have genetically weak hair.
7. Most important of all don't stress over it. stress and anxiety makes it worse
