You're blowing this out of proportion imho
Sure, he's recessed but his density is BEYOND great and it lends more than enough for styling which is more important than having a NW0 hairline.
He's older now too and lived more than all of our lifetimes combined.
He could settle tomorrow and never work a day in his life again, get a transplant or two and be fine for the rest of his life.

Luckily I have a narrow-ish, semi-long face like Styles do, so my forehead appears smaller because of ratios.

Lucky you. My forehead ratio ratio got f***** up by my NW2. My temporal points were always a little high and my head is extremely round, so I'm right now looking to do a minor hair transplant to lower the temporal points (which themselves dont seem to recede) a bit.
I experimented by painting small extensions for my temporal points and I went from a 3/10 to 7/10.
